pet sim 99 is named that way because Preston could release 99 pet simulator sequels and people would keep on playing and buying stuff on them

I love pet sim games. That being said, they released pet sim 99 with a bunch of new passes that you had to buy with money, one being a huge pass for about $50. At first they updated weekly. Once the majority of players had purchased the game passes Preston rolled back the updates back to every 3 weeks like they did with pet sim x, or every time they had a large update. No longer weekly. If players knew he was going to do that they may not have purchased all the passes. The clan idea is a good idea but mostly P2W so most players can't participate. You can't even join a clan without donating millions of diamonds weekly and I can't do that so I can't join one. Never had to pay to join a guild before..

Preston (buildintogames) is quite scummy even before the days of pet simulator, as he is known to cause drama all over Roblox.

What's even the appeal of this game anyways?

If they don’t wanna get hated on for having a p2w game, they have to make a perfect game that isn’t too p2w, Pet Simulator 2 completely failed and gets sometimes even less than 10 players at once. This game had almost nothing to buy. PSX blew up. It had so much more things to buy. It’s obvious that ingame purchases make a big difference.
