AOE 2
Ответитьeven though I resent this movie's presenting of the child-raypist worshipper religion of Islam as honourable, the movie is great in itself
ОтветитьTurns out this is one of the most underrated movie of all-time, along with the last of the Mohicans.
ОтветитьNotice a little historical accuracy mistake: the unified banners of Castilla and León. That unification happened in 1230 in Fernando III. The Kingdoms of the Hispanic Peninsula had the Crusades Wars in their land fighting The Reconquista that ends in the first half of the 1492.
ОтветитьEach soldier crusader with shields made from the walls of Jerusalem as from other fantasy universes like golden order with erdtree bark shields in misbegotten
ОтветитьThe production, sets, constumes, etc are on another level in this movie.
ОтветитьTo think that most Crusade LARPers hates this movie more than they do Islam is beyond my understanding
ОтветитьI AM from Messina 🗡️🛡️
ОтветитьYou would have been insane to desert in those days.
ОтветитьThis 55 seconds of film looks a million times better than most full 2 hour movies made today
ОтветитьTahun 1908 kota ini runtuh total karena gempa dan tsunami.
ОтветитьThis movie was a perfect time machine. The dark, gloomy, grungy details make it feel so real. I watched it as a kid during my schooldays, shown to us by our Jesuit Principal, and it is one of the most impactful movies that made me really care and like the medieval times especially the crusaders. They were sort of like the NATO back then I suppose.
ОтветитьThey still haven't built the bridge from Messina to Reggio calabria.
ОтветитьThanks for posting!
ОтветитьThis is essaouira city in morocco
ОтветитьFirst wiev was my mind there..😮
ОтветитьEvery pause you give in this video is like a painting from this time
ОтветитьAssassin's Creed: Holy Lands
ОтветитьThis is filmed in Essaouira, Morocco. The famous Ramparts also used by Orsen Welles in Othello.
ОтветитьAbsoulutely stunning........you can almost smell the sea air.........
ОтветитьIt was a war of religion, the Catholic Church v Islam, we all know what the Catholic Church has degenerated into, Islam is no better, to subjugate entire races under threats of violence and sheer greed, where have a,l the Dinosaurs gone to prove religion is a complete and utter fabrication!!!!
ОтветитьThis movie did a great job with all the cities and settlements. They felt like real places, not just sets full of extras.
ОтветитьThe thing with Kingdom of Heaven ist that Ridley Scott wanted to make a statement for IDEALISM but at the end the movie showed that IDEALISM is self righteous nonsense and a true leader always should prefer PRAGMATISM. Balian had the opportunity to marry the women he loved, to get rid of a dangerous warmonger Guido of Lusignan AND to prevent the war between christians and muslims plus he could have saved Jerusalem from the army of Saladin.
Instead he chose idealism - and in the result the warmonger Lusignan became King, started a war with Muslims, lost the battle wich resulted in the death of thousands of men, the muslims attacked Jerusalem and the kingdom eventually fell after many more people on both sides died.
There is one important lesson to be learned here: NEVER let your conscience stop you from doing the right thing!
Depsitre its historical incaccuracies I want so much to watch the director's cut at cinema.
Ответитьreally nice shot but also funny that they cant do anything about the gun emplacements that are set up on the wall so they are just like, cool relaxation benches used by the troops.
ОтветитьImagine an Assassin's creed movie with that art direction and attention to details 👌
ОтветитьThe transformation of this film from the version released in theaters to the Director's Cut is the single greatest in cinema history. It improves from, barely, a two-star film, to twice that, between three-and-a-half and four (out of four).
ОтветитьInterestingly there's an inaccuracy in this scene. There are two flags of the Crown of Castile (and Leon), a state only existed after 1230. While the scene took place probably in 1189. By that time, Leon and Castile was still separate and their flags therefore hadn't been quartered like such. Also neither Leon or Castile sent men to the third crusade. They were still busy with reconquista in Andalusia.
ОтветитьEssa cena parece que o camera voltou no tempo e está filmando, muito bom
ОтветитьGod wills it
ОтветитьGod wills it
ОтветитьAmen.
ОтветитьLove this movie
Ответить¡Spaniards!
ОтветитьI like how theres so many factions
ОтветитьIn reality, is Essauoira
ОтветитьIf this was made now they'd have to have diverse casting and a female lead
ОтветитьTime travel. Btw there is some Georgian kingdom symbols as well.✌️
Ответитьlove the shots of all the colorful banners
ОтветитьMessina has the mainland on the other side of the channel ... it was open sea in this clip -- ha ha!
ОтветитьThey don't make movies like this anymore. This was a hobby project.
ОтветитьNobody does these massive historical scenes better than Scott. When the massed armies of Salahadin and “The Jerusalem” assemble it has to be a scene unique in film
ОтветитьFor anyone who wants to watch this movie for the first time, make sure it’s the Director’s cut.
ОтветитьThere were no English troops so that is out for a fkn kick off !!
ОтветитьThis Entire scene feels like it literally came out of a medieval Oil Painting
just simply majestic
The Crusades was perhapes the most rarest moments where different Armies of Europe can cross kingdom boundaries and meet up in one place to all go to a common enemy.
ОтветитьWasnt Brindisi (Apulien) the port to the holy land? Messina lies on Sicily, so it would have been impractical for european knigths to take a ferry to sicily before.
