Attention to detail of vfx of Ava and the other robot in this movie is so legit that you don't need big vfx scene to enjoy it and win this award!
Too bad they didn't mention Alicia Vikander on their speech.
She also deserve credit for her work on Ava's robotic body movement
Ahhh! The guy who played the almighty Caesar(i love Caesar so much! and the guy from lord of the rings!
ОтветитьJurassic World should have been nominated
ОтветитьHe came to talk at my college !
ОтветитьI’m glad that visual effects is not all about space travel and dramatic explosions. The effects in this movie is subtle but detailed.
ОтветитьGood film but it should've been Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
ОтветитьI doubt anyone cares about this, but this is objectively one of the biggest Oscar upsets of all time, not to mention the 2010s. Ex Machina beat out three Best Picture nominees (normally safe bets) and a Star Wars film! (If any non-Best Picture nominee was going to win here, a Star Wars film would make perfect sense.)
ОтветитьAndy Serkis is kickass talented.
Like his kid, Louis-Ashbourne Serkis.
Corridor Crew talk about Ex Machina in the newest VFX Artists React video. Anyone who doesn't understand why this won should probably watch it.
Ответитьalone the first 25 sec you see an masterpiece on the right side
ОтветитьMad Max really ? XD there where more practicul effects
ОтветитьReally good song choice imo
Ответитьa big surprise, but deserved.
Ответить“Ghost gives Dan Akyroyd oral sex.”
ОтветитьIt could have been The Revenant for that silly bear scene.!😭
ОтветитьMad max fury road should have won.
ОтветитьThe nominees for Best visual effects are Star Wars The Force Awakens The Martian Jurassic World Ex Machina Mad Max Fury Road The Revenant & The Avengers Age Of Ultron
ОтветитьStar Wars The Force Awakens should've won
ОтветитьMad Max got snubbed again
Ответить1. Mad Max: Fury Road
2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
3. The Revenant
4. The Martian
5. Ex Machina
How I’d rank the VFX in these films:
1. Mad Max: Fury Road
2. The Revenant
3. Ex Machina
4. The Martian
5. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Indie filmmaking giving a big middle finger to more mainstream movies!
ОтветитьJust heard you in the Treehouse mate 👍🏼😁
Ответитьdid they chose based on how effective the vfx was used? because The Martian and Mad Max have such grand vfx compared to Ex Machina
ОтветитьEx machina was like crazy good. I need to watch it again
ОтветитьIt won with massively less money budget behind it, but it just cries TFL (the rise of sex dolls are imminent).
ОтветитьForce awakens snubbed!
ОтветитьI loved the movie but the visual effect was nothing special, should have won best screenplay
ОтветитьAge Of Ultron deserved a nomination for that one Ultron scene from Avengers Mansion alone.
ОтветитьExcelente movie 😻😻😻
Ответить1 Star Wars The Force Awakens
2 Mad Max Fury Road
3 The Revenant
4 Ex Machina
5 The Martian
Oh 2016... those were the times people couldn't just walk on stage and slap somebody. Anyway, Andy is a legend.
ОтветитьBest moment of this is using Get Down Saturday Night as the winning music
ОтветитьI noticed, the Oscar 2016 nominees are all about "sci fi a bit of genre"
ОтветитьDear AMPAS, please consider giving Andy Serkis an Honorary Academy Award because you think he's not a real actor.
ОтветитьWhy does a 15 million dollar indie movie have better effects than the MCU?
ОтветитьYes! Suck it, Star Wars!
ОтветитьWell deserved. Used subtly. The effects never overpower the story. But for me, Oscar Isaac deserved at least a nomination for best supporting actor. Just like the screenplay would have been worth a nomination..... oh yes.. the direction too.
ОтветитьAndy Serkis can host the Oscars. I wonder why the Academy are not recruiting Brits to host the Oscars?
ОтветитьOf course this douchbag had to get in a jab on Trump calling him a monster like a dumb little dweeb that he is because he is a moron.
ОтветитьThe AMPAS should give Andy Serkis an Honorary Oscar but the AMPAS doesn't view mocap acting as real acting.
ОтветитьMy Version of 2016 Oscar Nominations for Best Visual Effects:
EX Machina (Winner)
Everest (Nominee)
Jurassic World (Nominee)
Ant-Man (Nominee)
Mad Max: Fury Road (Nominee)
Everyone loves this movie, everyone knows its VFX are excellent... And everyone knows this Oscar was a travesty.
ОтветитьFun fact: Ex Machina is the best film ever to ever, ever. What a film!
ОтветитьStar wars 7 tenía toda chance de ganar y no le dan uno de los premios que más merece (¡Que injusto!)
ОтветитьWhy Jurassic world Didn’t Nominated
ОтветитьIt's so close to perfect. The most original science fiction (or is it a weird romcom?) film in years. (Well, together with Glazer's Under the Skin!)
Ответитьhow in the f**k did Chappie not get nominated for best vfx? The effects for that movie looked so frickin good!
ОтветитьThe Martian Should've Won The Visual Effects
Ответить
