The perfect Allen film that he let play out rather than simplifying down to 90 minutes. Instead of boy chooses the right girl at the end, it's boy murders the girl at the end. He was a greedy guy who didn't actually want Nola but was bored with Chloe. He valued money and status above all.

I watch this film and it dawns on me that this is unrealistic in life. Melancholic Chris and Nola find each other interesting only after they met in the family of Tom and his sister Chloe. Chris is sly, his brains turned after the words of the coach: "The main thing in life is luck, not righteousness." And so he sits with his future wife and looks at the bride of his friend Nola and recognizes himself in Her. Nola at this time says that She is lonely due to the fact that She is not given the role. I expected a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ending....Enola deserved SO much better
