He's somewhere between 2 and 5. I cant hate on #6 but I watched Kobe's entire prime(2000-13) and LeBrons entire career, I don't see how anyone can watch these two play and then conclude that Bron was better. Bron aint over Kobe, not close. I got Kobe 3 and Bron at 6.

Kobe vs Duncan isn’t a discussion. It’s Kobe and it’s easily.
The Laker fan did a terrible job explaining. But he was right that Duncan had FAR MORE stability. He never had anyone as good as Shaq, of course. But. I’d take 19 straight seasons of very very very good supporting and coaching over the roller coaster that Kobe dealt with, even if it did include Shaq.

As much as I love Kobe 6 is way too high. His shooting percentage compared to other all time greats is abysmal. Somewhere in the 10-20 range seems more appropriate. I’m not sure he’s better than D Wade or KD

Lol CJ with by far the worst call of all time. And Kobe’s my 2nd favorite player of all time. No mention of Pau OR ODOM (who was a borderline all star, 6-man of the year in 2011) D-fish, Phil Jackson, and saying a battle between who’s team it was vs Shaq is just straight Kobe homerism. Like, come on dude. And to mention Bynum and Artest like they were chumps at that time is INSANE. I don’t think this guy watched the Lakers growing up and is just one of those fly-by-night Laker fans. I mean, seriously. Nick just put him on to embarrass him.

I got Kobe at 5 that’s only cause Kobe won them last few rings & he didn’t have the team that the spurs had he won them rings carrying that team with a little help but not nearly as much as Duncan & it shows in the stats too kobe might of had one less mvp then Duncan & finals mvp but nash robbed him on one not saying nash didn’t have a great season but look at the numbers we’re talking best player… Kobe has always been better then Duncan kobe talent wise has always been better then Duncan kobe has that killer instinct too take over any game by himself & had too most of the time when he didn’t have shaq Duncan always had a team surrounding him too help him out kobe didn’t have that them last few rings & everyone who watches basketball knows this not taking away from Duncan’s achievements but as a player he is not better then kobe

Aside from the fact Kobe outplayed Duncan in the playoffs, got 2 Olympic gold medals to Duncan’s zero, Duncan never averaging more than 25 a game, I have never heard anybody on planet earth say “yo put some Tim Duncan highlights on” cmon man. It can’t all be numbers and accolades. Duncan was never considered the best player on the planet at any point in time, Kobe was, not just by the media but by his peers, so idk what basketball Nick was watching during the 2000s.

Kobe knew that when Tim won his 5th ring...it was a wrap for him in the all-time rankings.
He admitted as much when he was asked about it. But considering how many players there are in NBA HISTORY...it's not like top 10 is an insult or something.

I have no idea what kind of stats you found that you had to put Kobe ahead of Larry Bird? Three straight MVPs alone, and a title either the first year or second, and the list goes on and on. You still found it less then what Kobe ever did? I'm almost positive that many find this way way out of context, and they might not want to say so. Though I have no problems stating what I feel is backed up by pure facts, and the truth that goes with them. This is no time for emotional stat stacking, for lack of a better word right now. I was just going to let this go and Chuck it up to the many takes that many of you guys do once in awhile, for nothing other than response I guess. I just couldn't. Not when it came down to someone who practically saved the league with at least one other.

@Indifference2000

CJ from LA don't know what he's talking about 😆 I've always said Duncan was pretty much disrespected and under rated because he's not flashy or vocal. But TD was first pick overall and Kobe came out of high school but wasn't even a starter. Greg pop was not considered the greatest coach of all time at the time until spurs started winning titles because of TD. Kobe had shaq who was a monster in his prime. And let's not forget Phil Jackson who was considered the greatest coach at the time TD did it with Avery Johnson and the tail end of the Admiral. And then did it again with Tony Parker and Manu. And then later with the addition of kawhi. TD run went thru the Lakers in their prime against okc against the suns and pistons that beat the lakers also put a beat down on Miami heat. Kobe was amazing don't get me wrong but I do have TD above him. I actually feel like nick has Kobe a little high. But I understand he's factoring longevity as well.
