Bear in mind that France declared war on Germany in 1939 and then proceeded to lose a fair fight in the field in 1940 when the odds were even. The man he shot in the video was not a nazi officer nor even German. He was Admiral François Darlan high commissar of Vichy French Africa and prime minister of Vichy France from 9 February 1941 – 18 April 1942. The man who shot him was Fernand Bonnier de La Chapelle who was an anti-Vichy French monarchist.
