How to Install and Update Waves Plugins

So Studio One doesn't scan, you have to set your DAW to search specific folders. And Waves likes to just drop files where ever it wants instead of allowing you to pick the folder. So, when it doesn't deposit where you can actually find it, you have to dig for hours to find the dll file to put in a vst folder for it to work. Highly annoying.

I am afraid our Wavey Wayne may be on the Gravy Train - He is obviously paid to promote the product but Waves has a terrible image at the moment so his association with the product is not helping to build his standing in the audio community either - Kind of like promoting a cruise on the Titanic when you know the ship is real faulty. Waves are clearly not in it for their love of music - Profit reigns supreme with Waves, the things is, that same mantra may very well lead to their downfall.

Here's a copy of the email I have just had to write to Waves, having recently upgraded from Logic 10.4. to 10.7. I bought the Waves SSL bundle some years ago.

"I recently upgraded to Logic Pro 10.7.7 from 10.4.8 Surprise, surprise, my Waves SSL 4000 bundle didn't work. When I contacted Waves they said I'd need to renew my update plan. Waves suck! I buy a product from them and then they tell me I have to pay more money to make it work. If that is their business model, they're doomed. If they can't stay in business thru' innovation they should go was cars which, at this rate, is probably about 6 months away. Good riddance to freeloaders. WAVES SUCK!!!! and I'm gonna paste this comment into every Waves promo I find.

Great video but you do not necessarily have to update waves plugins every year. I am on Mojave and run different waves plugins from V9 right up to V14 and they all work very nicely next to each other.

It says i have latest updated version but still doesnt let me download my plugin. Tried downloading through the offline installer but i dont like it any suggestions?

Now if someone could figure out how to make the Waves load in FL Studio 21 that would be great!!!

I purchased the CLA series and Manny M series and they were all version 11 plugins. I downloaded them onto a usb drive. I got a new Mac and it says the version 11 plugins aren’t compatible. I was able to upgrade my gold bundle to version 12, but I didn’t see an update option for the Manny M or CLA plugins. Do u know what I need to do? My old computer doesn’t have the processing power to work efficiently enough anymore

Hi I just updated my Waves V13 licenses to V14, everything works with V14 but when I launch an old session, the Waves plugins under V13 no longer open, which is very disturbing… do you have a solution ?
