p value less than alpha means we need a greater CI or a smaller alpha . hence we reject it .If area greater or equal we can accept the null hypothesis.

For 2nd question;
You are applying the formula of T-test but using z-table?
The formula of z-test will have the standard deviation of the population but in the question we have the std of sample so i think this should be a t-test and we have to refer to t-table?

in question 1, shouldn't the critical value be found as t* rather than z* because only the sample standard deviation is provided, not the population SD?

Why don't we look at the T table instead of Z table when finding P-value ? I'm so confused cause my professor's using the T table to find the P-value then they compared it with t test
