They want to build the best house if they can afford it. I wish he spoke a word of consolation rather than adding salt to the wounds. If he wants to blame then why don't he blame the Government for not taking precautions when the land is at risk? In today's world, there are many things that can minimize the cause viz workshops for mitigation, campaigning on how to respond, drilling for their safety, and forming State Disaster Management Authority (Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Authority). I have worked with the Assam Disaster Management Authority for some time and my heart melts whenever I see people facing such a problem and I will always work for it.
When we compare HP to Assam, HP is less severe and you know Assam is under water for 3/4 months every year and the government responded effectively with the collaboration of NGOs. Had the concerned authorities taken some steps, I believe there wouldn't be this many casualties.
I feel so sad for those people!!!!
