Your a savior man any other combinations you can think of and recaps are great 👍 you explain it better then a teacher .
ОтветитьCan I continue with one or two outlets of one of these lights?
Ответитьsame thing applies if i try to add a second switch to a bathroom, even if i have a ceiling fan? (i have 1 light switch and 1 swtich for ceiling fan).. i was to add a 3rd item (second light switch) to this combo. follow this and connect all 3?
ОтветитьOkay, here's one for you... Two switches, two lights, one power feed, but the switches are four feet away from each other. And the second switch, farthest away from the feed, is a lighted switch. How would you wire that?
ОтветитьPerfect video, thanks a lot for this detailed explanation
ОтветитьVery nicely done!!!
ОтветитьThis has been so so so amazingly helpful. Thanks for repeating urself, and thanks for the easy to follow directions! Thanks a million
ОтветитьI have this project today, can I instal 3 switches as well or just max 2? 😊
ОтветитьA contractor put 😅in a switch tona ceiling light. Not sure what happened; the switch turns off and on the outlet. Help!
ОтветитьWhat if u don't have Neutral wire coming from the power source
ОтветитьInstead of having both switches in one box, would it be safe to separate the switches, for instance, one switch in the hallway and one switch in the living room, and i use pigtails to run the power source from the first switch to the 2nd switch in the next room?
ОтветитьGood video. I’m getting ready to wire the same setup in my custom camper but this helps make it clear. Thanks
ОтветитьI'm confused with a rats nest😊
ОтветитьYou're my favorite! I'm always happy when I search for a specific type of wiring and you've already done a video on it! You explain and show it all very well...thank you!
ОтветитьYou are an awesome instructor. Very clear and precise information.
ОтветитьAll those wires have to be connected to a stud in the center before going into a box. No ifs ands or buts about it 😠
ОтветитьI love how clear your instructions are. It was encouraging for someone who hasn't wired in a while. When I have the circuit breaker on, no matter whether the switch is off or on, the voltage detector still flashes at the hot line at the light fixture. Is that normal? These were new switches rated 15/20. Edit: The power supply feeding this outlet is some type of cheap 2 wire with no ground so I think that's the problem.
ОтветитьGreat video very well explained. I have a similar scenario like this but with 8 outside basketball court lights and 1 volleyball court light. Both the volleyball light and basketball light wires are going to a breaker panel to one fuse on a pole outside. They want the Bball lights and Vball lights separated (on/off) with 2 switches. There is an 4th extra red wire coming from both the fuse panel and VBall court light pole to a gang box on the breaker box pole. I’m assuming instead of 2 switches at the breaker box pole they wanted these switches separated. One switch at the breaker box pole controlling the bball court lights and one switch at the Vball pole controlling that light. I’m assuming this because of the red wire. So if a red wire is coming from the Vball light to the gang box on the fuse panel pole that means a switch can be installed there at the VBall pole? If black is power what purpose is of the red?
ОтветитьThank you for your explanation,it helped me getting my electric problem solved 😊.Hope to learn more from you
ОтветитьCan you use 12/2 on 15a 2 pole breaker?
ОтветитьI think connected my two ceiling lights using this method. However in my instance each light switch operates a light but the second light requires both switches to be in the on position.
ОтветитьInteresting ! ❤😊
ОтветитьI agree. I too like to confirm. Thank you.
ОтветитьI have a simple light fixture with plug. No grounding needed. Just a brown and blue wire on the plug. The fixture has black wires to use. But do I need to know what goes where ? There’s no indication
ОтветитьClean and Organized Job 👍 5 out of 5.
ОтветитьI did this, now my receptacle that's in line before these switches is making a buzzing sound.
ОтветитьThank you. After I watched your video I was able to wire the first option with no problem. As a matter of fact for my project, it took me more time to collect the material rather than wiring the cables.
ОтветитьThis is great. Thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial.
ОтветитьI have a light fixture that is connected to an end of run switch. I want to add recessed lights in the same room but want them to have a separate switch using the same power source though. How can I do that?
ОтветитьWagu way too clean and easy...hmm I'm suspicious...marretts were king...wahapan
ОтветитьSo the white wires are connected to the power source but not to the switch?
ОтветитьHello I have 3 light pendants that I installed in the ceiling in my kitchen but I walk them on a switch separately from the other lights, please help me.
ОтветитьThank you so much! I just wired in an additional switch and your clear and easy to follow instructions made it possible.
ОтветитьOutstanding job! Professional, detailed, reinforcing important points along the way.
ОтветитьThank you, your presentation was very helpful and easy to follow. Excellent job explaining.
ОтветитьHow do I make 2 lights from just 1 switch? Is that even possible?
ОтветитьPlease let me know if this set up work with 2 smart switch Kasa t p link in one power source ?
ОтветитьIf you have an doubled switch
ОтветитьLove your video.....very clear understanding with high resolution. The others are just so confusing. Thank you.
ОтветитьThere are so many commercials, and I lost interest
Ответитьthe best video I've seen so far
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial! How would you duplicate this install using separate single gang switches located on opposite sides of the same wall?
Ответитьyour videos are the best i have learned a ton! how would i wire a single pole switch for one light and a dimmer switch for another light and piggyback on to the incoming power for those to go to an outlet down the line, all in the same box? so i have power line coming into the box a line going out of the box to the outlet and the switch and dimmer in the box
ОтветитьThanks for the help. 😊
ОтветитьSo this would work the same way but in 2 separate switch boxes instead of one single box. Correct?
ОтветитьVery good, what if you have a 2 switch gang box, 2 different loads but only 2 cables coming into the box and only the white wire is used
off one of the feeds, the other cable using both black and white.
The best explanation I have ever saw, question, what if a 2 switch gang box has only 2 cable feeds and one of the feeds uses just the white wire.
ОтветитьWatched a dozen videos on how to do this and yours was the only one that made sense to me
