I can relate to not being logical, have Boxster 2.9 2011 and it is a big part of me and spent 2000 on detail as soon as I picked it up, not rich by any stretch but love the car.

What does a high end detail cost, typically?

As an owner of a 2002 Boxster s manual transmission, I can tell you it IS logical to put this kind of love and effort into that car. People hate on them cuz they’re cheap. Mine was $17k as it’s a nice example, but relatively cheap and down on power. BUT, it’s more fun to drive it than my 600hp awd Audi. Completely different experience but that’s why I love it. If you want a manual transmission, visceral driving experience where it’s just you and machine in harmony, amazing handling, a convertible, and more fun than anything else in the price range, then I recommend buying one. I’d say don’t get auto, and don’t get the base. The s is much more powerful and manual transmission makes it for me in a world of dual clutches and paddle shifters

Nice work. Thank you. When I do a total I find it easier to do the interior vacuuming and blowing before working on the outside. It keeps the flying stuff outside, no more interior dust interfering with my outside work.

In the US these aren't really going down in value.

I love this video so much, I've watched it three times now, so amazing. I love that the customer is so floored by the result, a Boxster is such a humble car to get this level of care but wow such a level of result! If I retire to the UK with my lovely Yorkshire wife (greetings from Minnesota) I will probably buy myself a Boxster to drive around and you will be the one to detail it. Lots of love.

Alot of people hate on those boxter, but if you think about it, other than the IMS Bearing it's faster and drives better Than a Miata, sorry that's facts, I drove both of them.

You should never ever leave the passenger door open a stick a pressure washer down the sills/roof on that car! The ECU is just under the passenger seat and could just kill the car. Excessive brushing/scrubbing of the roof didn’t do that any favours either. Try taking more care and you don’t have to be so vigorous bashing the brush in the shuts… I wouldn’t let you near any if my cars!

Is it better to do the inside first?

I could not do that to my cars, I would never drive them again. A week of hard work, I just could not. Car was beautiful man, I can only imagine what you charge to do that level of restoring.

All that work and they drive it in the rain and mud. I would be sick to spend that much work to see it get dirty.

I would love to know all the different things you used to do this detailed work.
