It is certainly worth a shot, if you have a worthwhile offer to make, or a reasonable request, and intend to make it a win for both of you. I have not used InMail much, but when I have, I did get a response of some sort. Unlike with Facebook, one feels on is able to trust that a person contacting you is not a total flake. And, since LinkedIn is a serious networking tool, people will be reluctant to blow you off.
ОтветитьI absolutely LOVE inmail. I've been amazed at the response I can get from people, as you say. You've got to get right to the point, and state your offer/request very clearly -- but it's a great way to connect. And what often happens is the Big Dog will just forward your request to someone lower on the food chain -- but the employee gets right to it because of who asked.
