Star wars fans need to get over themselves either enjoy what your given or don’t watch it at all. I genuinely think some fans will never be happy they will always micro analyse and pick fault in anything that happens in star wars. This show literally gives you darth vader on screen again and even has him duelling with obi wan again like how tf can you not think that is awesome if your a star wars fan it baffles my mind. If you keep constantly bashing them disney will get to a point where they say you know what we cant please you star wars i done and i know many people don’t want that. So shut up and let people enjoy it and if you don’t then don’t watch it and get your expectations up for something its very likely you wont like. Or get over yourself and just enjoy it.

Worst piece of shit I've seen in a very long time. Honestly, I'd put it in the same category as Xena and Young Hercules, in terms of writing, directing, acting and especially choreography.

rewatching this a year later, this has to be one of the worst takes on a show I have ever seen. Chris please seek help.

I enjoyed this show a lot. My only gripe was that it was set 9 years before A New Hope and yet Ewan McGregor looks about 20 years off from looking like Alec Guinness. We live in an age where if you go against the orthodoxy, you're accused of being paid off by simply enjoying art. This is why i hate the current fan base.

I will say, I agree with Chris, I loved this series and I think Reva was great writing, much for the reasons Chris said and I think, I will definitely watch more if we get more much like Chris said he would.

Wow Chris really nailed how I feel about this show.

I just gave this series a shot since I was discouraged by all the hate it got. I finished it in one sitting and, at the end, I had tears in my eyes. I loved it ! Is it perfect ? No, it isn't (why have lightsabers become so useless, apparently ? Everyone survives being stabbed by one, it seems !). But I couldn't understand all the hate it got. Maybe it could've been shorter as I found it dragged along, sometimes. But I'm so glad I gave it a shot! Ewan and Hayden were so good! The finale was emotional and the action was great! Was it a show we needed? I don't think so. When it was first announced I struggled to think what kind of story they would tell if he's supposed to be a hermit, by this point. I think they cut it close as it is and by doing a sequel I think they would stretch it into dangerous territory. I loved the emotional journey Obi-Wan went through in the show and I think it strengthen the character in A New Hope.

I didn't even realize you reviewed this when it came out, so I'm glad I found this! It's honestly so refreshing to hear love for the Obi-Wan series, and I couldn't agree with your points more. This show was everything I wanted from a 4th prequel to the Original Trilogy.

I loved Obi-Wan. Like the astrosphere of it, it had the prequel feeling. One thing, the one thing I did not like. Like at all, and it didn't make sense. Was when Obi-Wan wanted to leave the ship so he could save the others, because Darth Vader was after him. The dude who was suppose to be a leader was telling him not to go. I was like....whaa?! He's trying to save you guys!

i totally agree with you i dont understand why any of the movies or Obi Wan the series gets so much hate i really dont i get the hate on jar jar lol but other than that its all great its not perfect at all but that doesnt matter i Also see a lot of toxicity in the Star Trek fandom as well and i dont get it it really is disappointing. I dont wanna go through life just pointing out all the mistakes and that keeping me from enjoying stuff even when i dislike a show or film i dont bash it to the point of beating a dead horse like people seem to do i just dont get it .

I think it was okay. It’s just a shame that that’s the standard of quality we have come to expect from Disney Star Wars. For me there was a time when Star Wars was magical, as a trilogy. Now it’s just another one of Hollywoods cash cows that doesn’t do terribly but doesn’t do excellent either.

People are free to like and dislike whatever movies they want to, by all means, if you enjoyed Obi Wan I’m glad you did. I guess some of us just feel disappointed, and can’t help but compare Disney Star Wars with Lucas Star Wars. Also doesn’t help that their PR caused a political fiasco between fans and Disney. I don’t even know anymore. Keep up the good work Chris.

Through a little underwhelming, all in all I’d say I loved Kenobi.

Personally, I think the problems with it’s cinematography and limited sets/special effects come down it being shot during a pandemic.

I am glad people enjoyed the show. While I certainly enjoyed certain aspects of the show like the end fight scene sequence between Anakin and Obiwan, this show was ultimately a huge letdown for me. The show was written very poorly and the pacing seemed all over the place. The music score was very forgettable, and at times the set production seemed very low budget, almost like a fan film. Were my expectations too high? Maybe. But I still think Disney dropped the ball on this one. On the contrary, I really loved Andor. It had a more "cinematic" feel to it, and the directing and acting were phenomenal.
