PURPLE PUERH - Refreshing & Fruity Ripe Tea

First i guess

I ADORE purple puerh. I find that it boosts my creativity and motivation. Im a scientist and dont usually ascribe such things to edibles/drinkables but this happens EVERY time i have a purple puerh session. Love it.

I love it already that artwork & name 😎👌 the art on the cakes have often been something to caught my eye. the coloration & imagery, it's really cool finding out that Celine is responsible for those 👏 i think im going to have to try my first puErh, looking forward to it thank you Don.

Never had the money to pick up a puerh cake but today might have to be the day

I usually stay away from ripe puerh because I don't like the cavernous, dank forest floor flavor but this sounds like something I might like. The 2 ripe puerh teas ( bulang brittle and milk float nomad) I have in my collection have a very creamy malty note to them.

Hey Don. I just wanted to say that I really like those pictures on the left where you show the notes of the aroma and tasting. Even though I understand what you tell me, when I see it in front of me it makes me salivate even more 🤤 keep it coming 🤗

It's an interesting tea. I'll be completely honest, but I definitely prefer the more classic creamy vanilla, dank woods, earthy molasses type of ripe puerh, this one was like you said bright. It's very bright and clean, but I love to just taste casks of earth and vanilla sweetness when drinking my ripe. So I guess for people who aren't into classic ripe profile it's probably good to try this, but for me personally this isn't a tea I would want to save or think of it as a treat, its more of a daily drinker / alternative that I will want to finish before finishing Milk float nomad or another type of ripe. But still a great digestif.

I love earl grey tea and I swear I was vividly imagining cherry and citrus scents when he starts describing the flavor, this sounds like a delicious, delicious tea

On my last few grams of this cake 😭😭 I think it's my favourite ripe puerh of all time. I should have bought a tong 😢. Hope meileaf releases a similar one in the future. Love that refreshing juicy mouth feel which I find is so unique on a ripe.

Drinking this in July 2023 after holding onto it for a year. Still so vaporous on the tongue, like it's floating. I was trying to pin down the tasting notes this morning when I thought I'd let you do it for me. XD Everything you said is so true. Whether you brew it Gong Fu style or Western, it's a delight. It's waking me from my nap every so gently with a bright, yet relaxing feeling. The finesse and luxury of this tea! While light a vaporous in the mouth, it is not light on a beautiful array of tasting notes.

This is why I get my Ripe Tea from Mei Leaf, almost exclusively. Don always brings in the good stuff!

I hope you’ll keep a Zi Juan Ripe Puer in your catalog once this one inevitably sells out. I keep going back to Bling Rock Kingpin often, because of its perfect balance of fruity confection, and it’s body sensation. It’s a beautiful way to start the day! Plus, it’s Purple!
