Thank you. Recording guitar directly plugged in the interface allowed me to record multiple take but plugging keyboard directly into laptop it merged the recordings. Couldn't figure out what the deal was. This helped tremendously.

Hi Patrick. Can you recommend a way of getting vocoder effects on vocal tracks? I have tried various plugins but they don't seem to work. Keep safe.

so confused, about 3rd party instruments, the plugin button that lets you change the instrument doesn't have the up and down signs that let you change, therefore I can't use software plugins

But when 'cycling overdubs' rather than 'takes', as u explained, (presumably for building drum loops) how do I 'undo' a take on the fly if possible? Say my kick and snare are locked in, but I keep fluffing the hi hats and need to 'delete-repeat' until I get it right. Presuming of course this is possible at all.
