Now it shows up.
ОтветитьI remember seeing this on Discovery channel. But before that saw it live on tv when it flew. The media heard about it. And aired it live. Including when the X15 that broke in half as it touched down. Why doesn't anyone show that anymore. The pilot was unharmed.
ОтветитьДякуємо Збройним Силам України за захист від орків!
ОтветитьCoolest channel ever!!
ОтветитьWhy doesn't anyone show the X15 breaking in half on touch down anymore?
The pilot was unharmed. I know I saw it when I was a kid in the 60s. I was already hooked on aviation.
Thank you. What a beast!
ОтветитьThere is mention of a huge force needed to travel at hypersonic speeds. If the atmosphere is a hundred times thinner, one might suspect that it takes a lot less force to push through the atmosphere regardless of mysterious supersonic effects. They need a lot of force to accelerate the plane to high velocity to get enough lift in such thin air. They need to do it quickly. If they used solar energy to heat up the air in a ram jet, they might be able to gradually increase the velocity and altitudwith a much less powerful engine. If there is no fuel weight and a ram jet weighs so much less than a regular jet or rocket engine, the lift drag would be much less. A solar powered ram jet plane might fly into space.
ОтветитьGood video bud'
ОтветитьThese pilots are men among men
They had custom air suits just to hold their giant gonads
What a beast!
ОтветитьLove this space plane.
ОтветитьLast pilot died last week of x15. Program......JOE ENGLE YRUE PIONEERS
ОтветитьYep, the US has pilots who flew at hypersonic speeds since the 1960s.
ОтветитьLooking at the X-15(1), doesn't modern 5th generation fighters look very close to it.
ОтветитьBlame it on Trump.
ОтветитьX15 was no were near the first AC to transmit telemetry in real time. It was SOP for Flight Test. My father was first Test Engineer to do Radio Telemetered flight testing. He invented the techniques, methods and procedures to use the sensory system he had invented in 1941. Dad ran Grumman Aircraft's, later Grumman Aerospace's, Flight Test Department.
ОтветитьSR_71 did also.
ОтветитьUSA is such an amazing country.
ОтветитьMore proof USA got the best Germans after the war.
ОтветитьStill can not figure out why these were maned. Why risk mens lives?
ОтветитьI had a model of this as a grade school kid. I also had a Saturn V. What fun. Childhood bliss without recognizing all of the details
ОтветитьIt's the Dark Knight lol 👩🏻🚀🤘🏻🛩️🛰️🌌🕍🛸
ОтветитьVote blue save democracy
Ответитьthe engine is the same engine that put Alan Sheperd into space.
ОтветитьThis airplane from the 50s went higher than some 'space' companies in 2024 have gone! 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьMach 6.7, that’s FAST! Then, the aircraft was made of Inconel!!
ОтветитьMayor Pete! He was a really good person.
ОтветитьIt wasn't a plane, it was a ROCKET!!!! Planes don't need no steenkin' B-52's to get off the ground.
ОтветитьIn the days when America had real vision.
ОтветитьIt was made to skip across the atmosphere. Wise up.
ОтветитьVote red and save the Republic!
