you can EQ anything into that 57. If you want Air, Just boost 13 K
ОтветитьThe snare drum standard, nothing else.
ОтветитьWhat mean audio boosted +6dB?
ОтветитьI just got the mic, and yes it does come with an Adapter as well as a Shure branded Velcro strip like it does with the Shure sm7b
ОтветитьThis is the Tom Petty microphone. He used it in countless live shows and as scratch vocals in the studio. A little dooblie dooo behind the scenes for ya. :)
Ответитьwhat are your thoughts on me getting a fethead for my sm57 and evo4? with my xlr plugged in I have to adjust the gain to about 100 to actually hear anything on my mic. and getting vsts on it makes the white noise veeery noticeable.
ОтветитьCan you please re-review brand new, current production SM57? And compare it to beta 57, V7X, Audix i5, Beyerdynamic m201, md 421...Thanx in advance!
ОтветитьYou need to copyright these vocals😂😂😂
ОтветитьPlanning to get this mic. The accessories you mentioned especially the “white house” windscreen sure seems interesting. I hope they still sell those.
Ответитьi actually sold my SM7B for this microphone, cheaper so i saved cash and it sounds perfect. the SM7B was way overkill for what i used it for.
ОтветитьHoping to get some help in troubleshooting. I have an sm57 and 2i2 1st gen. It cannot pick up my voice unless I am almost kissing the mic with gain knob at max. At keyboard distance away, it doesn't hear me speaking.
Ответитьis this good for picking up acoustic guitars? I have an Sm58 for vocals, it does an okay job, but need a louder mic to pick up the 6 & 12 strings
Ответитьyou seem to have so much equipment and you do know so much about equipment but the audio in your videos is pretty flat and un-impressive
ОтветитьCan you suggest some better mics with better high end?
ОтветитьGreat video gives me things to ponder on. I’m stuck between choosing either the sm57 or the pga81 for micing an acoustic violin In a live band scenario. 🤔
ОтветитьHello,
I have 2 Aston Spirit microphones which I use to record voice and an NT5 microphone to record acoustic guitar, unfortunately the NT5 microphone is too sensitive and picks up my voice too much when recording. Do you think that if I replace the nt5 with the sm57 for taking the guitar, it will pick up my voice less than the nt5?
Will this mic work on a Podcast with more than one guest as far as noise rejection?
ОтветитьHey, Mr. Bandrew, huge fan of your work. Quick question, I noticed that when I plug my SM57 into my Zoom H5 recorder I get a little bit of self noise. In order to remedy this, I have been using a Fethead plugged into the back of my SM57, is it okay to do that? Or is it better to just reserve that for mics like the SM7B and RE-20? Thank you for your time.
ОтветитьCan you review the VIP kit?
ОтветитьHi. I have a question if i may. I have noticed that we can twist the head of the mic and it has indicator of one line and two line. Do you know whats that for? I hope you read this. Thanks… 🤘🏻
ОтветитьDo you think this microphone or what microphone would you recommend for instruments like singing bowls
ОтветитьNot griping - just an observation - I find your conclusions to be 100% opposite from what I conclude. The strong positive here is that there is consistency! Our ears hear things differently - consistently! I appreciate what you are doing here. Very helpful.
ОтветитьThe most unnecessary video on YT
ОтветитьA lot of misconseptions when it comes to vocals is Highend mic into highend pre pristine full range responce lushness is best, that very rarley fits in a mix unless it's super sparse. for the most part and most music styles your going to be cutting and trying hard to make it fit. often an sm58/7/SM7b or some other dynamic mics fit better out of the box. vocals need to sound like it lives in a place, same with other instruments. yoiu cant just have an instrument will all the bass mids and trebble detail and ritchness all together, great on its own but in a mix you may find some of theese cheaper dynamic mics get you to where you are after youve cut and sculpted your £1500 mic chain to sit.
Ответитьi see that the Shure needs some Special Cable intake do i need a preamp for it and what type do u recommend ?
ОтветитьGreat video you got a new subscriber here!! Very informative I like your dry humour, and I find it amusing how you cater to all crowds almost ironically!!! Every question I had you answered in the vid!! Thumbs up dude keep it up
Ответитьhey bro whats better for streaming podmic or sm57?
ОтветитьI bought this microphone 2 days ago with a friend, I'm now waiting for an SSL2+ to be delivered to me this Sunday and I think this makes my best birthday gift so far!
Can't wait to put this microphone to some proper testing!
HELLO!!! do I need a cloudlifter with a sm57 to my Behringer UMC404HD?
ОтветитьHow does this perform in rooms without acoustic treatment?
ОтветитьI got like 4 mics my mom found and she gave me this was one a long with like 3 c 88s
ОтветитьIs this Shure made in China?
ОтветитьIs it good for acoustic instruments recording?
ОтветитьThanks so much for showing me how to use my mic!! I love this shure sm57
Ответить"It would likely outlast YOU."
Ответитьthis mic hurts my ears, idk why
ОтветитьGrazie.
ОтветитьSuper nice works great
Ответитьexcellent and thorough demo, thanks for this!
ОтветитьPrice please send me
ОтветитьThis was perfect! Thanks for uploading!
ОтветитьI currently just use the SM57 for webinars from my bedroom, there's a phone charger and computer charger under the desk and an iphone and two laptops on the desk along with airpods and their charging case, a Seagate hardrive, ethernet wire, and HDMI cable plugged in to one of the laptops. Is there going to be RF interference with this setup no matter what? Would upgrading my 3rd gen Scarlett Solo to a 2i2 2nd at the very least help in addition to a Fethead or do I need to just take everything else out of my room and chuck it some place else? I imagine there's stuff to cause RF in Bandrew's room there but I'm not hearing any of that from this review. Could the RF that I hear with mine be from an outside source?
ОтветитьThis guy has insane RF interference.
ОтветитьHow is the sensitivity rating read? Does a higher value of dBV/pa mean that it is more sensitive?
ОтветитьShure ssh 55 sucks
ОтветитьHands down the BEST review of anything. Subscribed in the first minute! Awesome mic too. I've got 2 of them. DOPE!!
ОтветитьCan you please do an Online Mastering Review Services Video. Thanks bro!!
ОтветитьSM57 + A81WS > any other microphone in existence. Seriously, save yourself a ton of cash, just combine the two, and forget about worrying about your sound. No plosives, no background noise, no nothing. Just. Sound.
ОтветитьVery interesting, actually one of my favrioute mics I liked this video yes!!!!👍😅
ОтветитьI did the tour bus test at the parking lot of my local music store and ended up buying a SM57. The U87 just didn’t make it.
