Agree with what you say. I used to like watching the programme because it was about the only paranormal programme that had a sensible approach, and often found reasons for people's 'paranormal' experiences (I vaguely remember something about a dodgy electrical box in one episode). That was the whole attraction of the programme. Then it became just like the numerous junk paranormal shows. A shame.

I disagree. I think Jason was in on it 100%. Why in the world would he be looking inside of his jacket when it was pulled on? Wouldn't you be turning the flashlights on and looking around and up above you. Nothing is going to be pulling at your jacket from the inside. If your friends jacket got pulled on and then you watch it on film and see that it was pulled down would your reaction be to look inside of the jacket? No. They are all in on it. He's only doing that to prove to the audience that there's nothing in the jacket that did it. That they aren't using any trickery. Just exactly like a magician does when they show you up their sleeve and under their hat and inside the deck of cards to show you they aren't tricking you even though they 100% are tricking you. Oldest tricking in the book.

Preach it, businesses capitalize on the paranormal to make money having so called paranormal investigators videos saying thier location is haunted. I loved ghost hunters debunking, then thier sponcer had them saying that every location is haunted 🙄🫣

My sentiments exactly! That was the last time I watched Ghost Hunters. Only thing is I do believe Jason was "aware" of it and compliant because the network was demanding more action to justify the cost of this live. This happened during a live Halloween event. But whatever their reason faking is faking and I was done with them.

I loved watching Ghost Shows, but one by one I stopped with certain ones. The creditability for some is not there and when that is lost you cannot get past the unethical things being done and I say unethical because its fraud.

I believe 100% in the afterlife and I believe they do not act on cue, as most of these show have us believe. Mocking the afterlife is one thing you should never do.

TAPS is what made me a skeptic. I used to believe in ghosts until I started watching things like TAPS and Ghost Adventures and started realizing what they were doing and reading the debunking of it. It made me realize the efforts people will put into faking something and how easy it can be, especially when you're in the dark and using IR cameras. Stuff like the spirit boxes, EMF meters, and various ridiculous gadgets they brought in really just solidified it for me. Even though I'm skeptic I still like watching ghost videos because I'm a horror junky and there are some interesting videos that I've seen that are hard to debunk. Some of the most interesting stuff has been from Urbex Hill, but I do think he fakes stuff although I don't really know how for some of it.

I absolutely understand why Jason's so angry because he knows if one person gets caught faking on the show then that puts the integrity of the entire crew on the line. He could have his entire life and reputation ruined along with those he cares about because his coworker got too greedy.

Why are these investigation teams??mmm, see fit to con fans and fellow paranormal enthusiasts, for viewing ratings? It's destroying the real paranormal world, because apart from all these con merchant's that seem to be going around, there is a real paranormal world that is real and not made up, if you want to see real paranormal happenings either go on your own investigations with friends or on your own, it's the only way you'll be sure that what you see or hear will be as real as real can be, make sure not to tell to many people what you plan to do, they can taint anything you want to see as a silly joke!

I met Grant at the Stanley hotel in Colorado back in about 2008 or 2009. Was a really nice guy. Pretty skeptical about his ghost stuff though.

i was a kid when ghost hunters aired. i have great memories of our family friend and her kids coming over to my family’s house every wednesday so we could all watch ghost hunters together! that show single handedly made me believe in ghosts as a kid. while i still believe in the paranormal, i certainly am not a believer of paranormal shows lol. i still love the memories i made watching this show, but it sucks knowing that lil me was bamboozled lol

the thing i love about debunkers is that they will come up with some of the most batshit crazy and ridiculous excuses to prove something is fake. and while they are often right about something being fake they are usually wrong about HOW it was faked. a lot of times its a very simple answer because people who fake evidence are not going to spend hundreds of dollars just to fake a 2 second clip. just like the assumption that he's using a retractable device that will yank on his hood when he puts his hand in his pocket is absurd when really a piece of string that's knotted at the end to prevent it from going into is sleeve is just as likely and can easily be reset by adjusting the hood like we see in the clips. its super cheap, accomplishes the same effect, and would be nearly impossible to detect if you were not looking for it specifically which is what a faker would want.

also because debunkers look way to far into things its a very simple explanation as to what happened. sci-fi wanted the show to be more exciting, so they wanted evidence to be faked or at the very least evidence inserted into the show. i remember watching a video where they showed proof that after season one the producers demanded they make it more exciting and had them signed for more seasons so they had no other choice but to go along with it knowingly or not. here you are framing it like GRANT was the one trying to make everything fake, but in actuality it was the producers who were forcing their hands. saying you know that they told him "we know you're faking material so we are giving you a chance to leave before we fire you" looks outright stupid when you know that the producers are the ones that were faking evidence and even took over in the later seasons and injected their own agenda into the show. its likely grant played along and the rest of the crew were not in on it, but its also likely that grant wasnt aware of it was being manipulated as well in some way. either way, i hate debunkers because they are egotistical people who act like they are superior to everyone else and 80% of the time they cant even properly explain how a person faked a shot. again thats not to say they are not right about a clip being fake, but their ideas are always bonkers and balls to the wall insane that it makes me laugh just hearing the things they come up with.

and just to be clear, i am not exactly a big believer in the paranormal or even the supernatural, but i have had several experiences myself that cannot be explained, my sister has have several things happen that cannot be explained, my father, uncle, and cousin all had the exact same experience the exact same night miles apart from each other at the exact same time, and every once in a while there will be odd things happening in my house that we are not sure how to explain or justify. now am i saying its ghosts/aliens? no, but im not about to go looking for answers that might take me in circles. as far as im concerned i have never had any bad experiences so its not worth the effort to try and change anything or go looking for answers.

I think that Jason knew what he did and that was the beginning of the end of Grant on ghost hunters.

It's the networks that need to answer for this garbage,this team ALWAYS WANTED TO FIND THE EVIDENCE... I've been watching them since the 04 beginning they are the ones that's more real than another that came after doing the mocking.

I remember watching this live. I was taping the episode. They never did another live Halloween episode again. GH jumped the Shark.

New London CT light house. They claimed nothing could be disrupting their instruments because the power was turned off. At night.... In a lighthouse. It was quite obvious they were full of shit then.

I wondered what happened with Grant. I liked watching the earlier years when they debunked things and seemed more real.

I won't give Jason a pass anymore after seeing his daughter pulling that fraud with the conjuring house. When too much fraud goes on around him that makes me question him.

Loved this show, did I believe 100%? No, but yes! This is the episode that I stopped watching, the jacket episode.

I'd watch them faithfully every Wednesday night. Always wonder if legit. Also his hand never comes out if that were me I'd be using both hands. I did notice back then they'd see apprerations but never a camera on it. BTW I have ear pods on and can hear a clicking sound just wonder if from him.

Something you have to consider when looking as to why Jason didn’t call grant out is the company lawyers, they would have had him tied up in red tape and contracts. The guy may have had no options to say anything

You all could sit there and try to analyze this hood pulling but how do you know for sure? You weren’t there you never seen the jacket. So don’t talk like that is what happened because at the end of the day. You’re looking back at a video that was many years ago. I personally don’t think Grant would do that. I’ve watched Ghost Hunters from the beginning. Out of all of the episodes why would Grant do that?

I'm with you on this. I can only stand beside authentic people. I caught on that there was some fake bs going on and that ruined their standing with me 100%. I quit watching. It really pmo that any "investigator" would pull fake plants like this because actual investigation teams are there to search for REAL evidence or show over time there really is none in each location. With individuals faking crap it makes people assume ALL of them are fake and that simply isn't true. Shame on him!!! Seriously. He should apologize for what he's done, or karma is going to eat him alive.

My wife and I were really into that show back in the day. I remember being blown away by the collar pull as we watched that live show, I went to work the next day all fired to rewatch it on the DVR only to come home and have my wife tell me it was faked. I was actually briefly mad at my wife for telling me that Grant had faked the whole thing. Lol

I'm sorry, but I'm calling BS. Jason is a liar, he ABSOLUTELY knew right then and right there EXACTLY what Grant was doing, it's all over his face! There is zero chance that this many years have passed, and this is this first time that Jason has seen the footage like he claims, no way. I don't believe Jason is a bad dude, but he is absolutely lying and playing dumb, he knew the moment it happened.

I just watched Jason’s reaction to your post. He respects what you’re doing because that’s we he does. He also stated that if this was rigged, he had no idea. I’ve watched both videos and I do see what you’re saying. The thing is, if it were really a spirit, physical dynamics would not apply. It could, in essence, pull the jacket down from the inside as there is no corporeal form here. I’m not saying it wasn’t rigged, because even though I witnessed it on TV…I wasn’t there. What I am saying is that the explanation you and several other have provided is but one explanation. Grant even states many times that he is not being pulled back, it’s more of a tug on his clothing. Now if I tug down on the hoods of my jackets (from the inside of the jacket), the rest of the jacket doesn’t move. Only the hood moves and it just moves down. Again, not saying that this isn’t suspicious or that it wasn’t faked for ratings (live shows are more costly), I’m just saying that there are other explanations. I do appreciate the debunking community though as it keeps others honest. Great analysis.

I never trusted these guys, I'm a firm believer in the supernatural but a main reason why people don't believe in it is hackney shows like this that I think purposefully make it look phoney to try and dull the public's paranormal senses, thus leading to a lot of people who don't care nor respect the dead.

They lost credibility to me in the moss beach investigation where they were "pranked" because i had seen that location on the travel channel and wondered why they couldn't have known about that location.

There was an old paranormal forum back when Ghost Hunters first aired in the early 2000’s that both Grant and Jason visited often.

I remember reading on there where people were criticizing the validity of their “investigations” back then. Steve also dropped bombshells on that forum about why he stopped being on the show. I can’t remember what exactly it was but it was all drama and the show is scripted as hell. 😂

That was the blue lady, the bar and restaurant was rigged by the owner to to continue the famed haunting of the blue lady! They spent a lot of money and time to investigate that place and it was all a set up

Not just that, if someone pulls you on the right side, you dont look on your left side to see who pulled it

I only lived in a haunted house once , and it was definitely haunted , a lived in a lot of places in my 60 years but only the one was haunted, I know for sure there is something after death , but these shows have a little too much going on to believe, if the tv shows were real some houses they would find nothing, but they never show that or even mention it in an episode, so I think it’s fake .
