If Nintendo does have anything to reveal at The Game Awards the only thing that can think of that would generate a lot of buzz is Metroid Prime 4 or shadow dropping Prime 2 and 3 on the eShop before showing off Prime 4.

It's a shame they missed this Christmas period... Normally this is the time to release a new console. I'm thinking about a switch for my son this Christmas but am acutely aware that switch 2 is around the corner

For 500 I'll just get the steam deck OLED . Regular steam deck is the best console I've ever bought in my life personally. I know some people say there are better ones like MSI claw and w.e but I got steam deck cheap from my brother the 650 one for 300 and it's fing amazing . I wouldn't buy a Nintendo 2 now especially for 500 that's wild .

Its march 2025 launch. I just dont understand why people think nintendo wouldnt mimic their best launch choice ever. They got 2 launch level boosts in 2017 from march launch and then holiday 2017. They got out 2 10/10 games in the first year due to their choice to launch in march.

Nintendo could be the reason SD express becomes affordable? Do you not remember the Nintendo branded Sandisk micro SD cards that cost considerably more than the exact same product without the Nintendo logo on the packaging? Folks will probably just buy the cheaper regular micro SD cards except for the enthusiasts.

I'm wondering if Metroid Prime 4 will be the game that will be shown off on the Switch 2. Will be sweet to see what it will look like especially if DLSS or a proprietary form of it is being utilized. Nintendo aside tho, as a Vikings fan I was hoping the Pack would pull off the win. As much as it pains me to admit I cheered for them tonight. Flipping Lions.

I hate to say it, but if they are hiring for someone those engineering skills now, it almost certainly means it’s not part of this build. A potential v2 (switch2 OLED or pro?), possibly. But they would have had to have this skill set onboard years ago for it to be part of the switch2

If the Foxconn report is accurate, it could be that we get a first look trailer either at or by The Game Awards. And that first look trailer will show the console and tease a couple games, but it will close on “join us on this date and time (early to mid-January) for the full reveal Direct of Switch 2.” The first look will also probably reveal either a launch month or a launch quarter, while the reveal Direct reveals the exact day it launches. Because if one assembler is already getting paid for delivery of full retail units, it’s only a matter of time before Nintendo loses control over the narrative because of assembly line or warehouse leaks.
