Last year I hat to get blood tests when I was sent in to hospital by my doctor because I had a pain

I am currently in mbbs 1st year,and in this procedure we had to take blood from other students and no one was ready to give their hand for venepuncture....finally our professor selected students for venepuncture and we practiced on them😂

I like how the arm has actual blood and how it just went with the flow.

I once did a blood draw on myself and forgot to take the tourniquet off first and it was quite a show

You guys realize he’s explaining the process which is always going to take longer i.e. the tourniquet will be on longer. I do agree he should’ve raised it as noob blooders will have difficulties.

How come he didn't respond to you?

please slightly mix your samples so the EDTA can mix with the blood. You're taking blood for wrong laboratory results if it coagulates just because you didn't mix your sample.

Invert the tubes a few times after blood is taken otherwise it will clot, especially in EDTA tubes and citrate tubes
