Disney Pixar's Soul - Normies Group Reaction

Pixar does have a reputation of making people cry even if it's a little so everyone who would ever seen the Pixar film before should go in with the expectation that their tear ducts might put in some work.

I agree not a lot of kids will understand a lot of the historical jokes, but I think you underestimate kid’s willingness to google everything to understand media. I’m sure a lot of kids might look up the teachings or stories of some of the most famous historical figures because they were mentioned in a movie they like and they wanna understand it. Movies like this introduce kids to important things they need to know. It’s pretty cool

animation is a medium, not a genre, and all animation is not by default "for children", Children love well told stories and beautiful visuals too of course, but i think being impressed at adult themes and jokes and situations is a bit belittling, cos after all, adults are making these films:)

My daughter is 4 and has not seen this movie yet. last year she told me she remembers before she was born being up in heaven and God took her hand and made what she would look like. I asked her oh like painted a picture of you. She said ya but, I didn't know what I would look like yet. When he was done he showed me the picture and that's what I look like now. Then, he took my hand and walked me over to this big opening(just like in the movie). I got to go over and pick my family. I was blown away.

I realized about the scene when it showed the spinning leaf. When it's mature and is able to live and grow into a tree, it falls down, like how Joe says the 'spark' is only available if the soul is ready to live.

Jon Batiste does not get enough credit for how CRAZY he played and composed some of the music for this movie <3. They modeled the animation to his hands while he played.

Walk-Ins are a thing

Those characters look like some 90s filler animation series or something, and typical jazz animation characters, seen them before too

Of course they’d eat you, you see them as slaves or objects to own. They wouldn’t eat you if you had any respect and love and stuff for them and saw them as the equals they are.

The problem about super science-based beliefs is that science is inherently incomplete. It’s not generally the opposite of religion. People just get scared of the practice of asking questions, since things can be so easily misunderstood.

Like, gravity can be reliably calculated for the purposes of life here on Earth, but modern Astronomers are pretty baffled about things they observe far out in space. They technically haven’t fully proven gravity, so it’s only a “theory.” But that doesn’t mean all the research for centuries has been pointless. Scientific theories are still relevant and actionable. There are just questions unresolved. But people still assert that it’s a fact.

Watching this made me realize how overrated Netflix is. I stopped watching disney years ago when I was a kid but now i realize they are more deep then most tv Shows I've watched.

Coco, Inside Out, and Soul marked the high water mark for Pixar when they had an amazing 5 years in the 2010s. They had been in a 6 year drought before then, and we've been in a 3 year drought since then...

I was 13 when this movie came out and I watched it as soon as it came out and I understood all of it and cried a lot 😢

Apparently, with the ending of the movie, the part that they added in at the very end is whether or not, he actually chooses to go back or move on.
The original idea was to keep it ambiguous
