You need to update this, let people know that fix a flat is no longer flammable but it doesn't work anymore lol. Half of the can doesn't go into the tire. It's garbage and should disappear

The facility who eventually fixes the tire properly is going to love cleaning up the mess when you bring it in. They probably will charge you extra for the repair. The bad thing about “repairing” the tire this way is that if you drive very long or fast with the tire with low pressure you won’t know if the tire is destroyed on the inside. I have seen tires that were repaired this way and the cords were showing on the inside because they were driven too long and too fast. You can’t see how bad it is until they take the tire off the rim. I guess if you are in the middle of nowhere and don’t have a choice it will get you somewhere, but stop at the first place that has an air hose and fill the tire to the maximum pressure it says on the sidewall and don’t drive any faster than you need to. Check the spare tire at least once a year and fill it to the maximum pressure. You are better off putting on the crappy donut tire than ruining any chance of getting the tire fixed right. A lot safer than driving on a tire that is ruined on the inside and having a blowout. Coming from a retired professional technician with over 40 years experience.

I would knock the nail in rather than remove it.

Also, remember that most if not all modern gas stations offer air-service for your automobile tires but not for bicycle tires

Your automobile should have a spare that is located under the false floor of your trunk; trucks may have the tire hidden in the bed and Jeeps may have a spare tire hanging on the posterior. Manufacturers even include a car-jack with your sedan so you can remove the lugs and replace the tire yourself but remember that your car is not designed to be driven on that spare tire for extended periods of time (thinner and more compact, designed only to drive to an auto-mechanic)

About 30 years ago while coming back from Rosarito, BC i got a flat tire and it was a Sunday afternoon and no tire shop was opened. Luckily i bought a can of Fix A Flat and immediately put it to work. This thing worked like magic and got me back on the road in minutes! I ran the same tire well over 2 years until i
needed to replace it due to regular tire wear. Great product and a life saver!

I have bought like six of these tire inflators and they never work for me I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong when I'm following instructions..... Majority of time they just blow up....

Everyone says to take the tire to be repaired after using these spray tire cans. I purposely left it in a couple cars for many years without getting the tire fixed and it seemed to hold just fine. Eventually had tires replaced and took a closed look at the one with the spray. Over time it just coats and dries over the whole inside of the tire. I'm not suggesting this to everyone but there are alternatives. If the spray is in one of the front tires you might notice a slight steering wheel shake due to the extra weight that may off balance the tire. Over time the weight evenly distributes and no problems with vibration anymore. You can always rotate the front repaired tire in the back too

Use a spare, compressor (slow leak), or plug in that order. That being said, I use Slime in my motorcycle tubes to slow down a blowout.

POS bough a can and it maybe put 2 lbs of air in a tire, can is full of whatever but no pressure

How is the pump going to get you out of trouble with a nail in your tyre? Pump it up, drive off, tyre deflates rapidly.

Also... you guys didnt stated if such product is used. Always inform the person which perhaps does the repair on that tire. That shit is chemical and flammable.

All nice and dandy, but how about spare tire, doesn't that exist in the US? I see a lot of these products. Also see read it nots that good for the tire, as well as can be dangerous for the person fixing the tire.

I used it on my fatty bike pumped air put fix a flat in it. Let it sit. Pumped more been riding over 50 miles

The can WILL NOT EXPLODE if it is in the trunk of your car. It will never get hot enough.

One thing left out was some of these fix-a-flat cans use flammable gas to inflate the tire. Any spark when dismounting the tire could harm the technician .

I just apply the fix a flat to one of my tire and when I bought my car to couple auto shop, none of them wants to look at it or repair the tire, they all said fix a flat is corrosive and it will destroy your tire and wheel, they all recommend me to replace the tire ASAP. Is the Auto shop right? and if that is the case then why do those shops sell this product?

Lmao, I am glad I am the only one this product far outsurpassed the expectations of. Dead ass I used a can one summer morning about 3 yrs ago and that tire was serviceable until it normal wear and tear needing replacing.

The 'temporary fix' claim is just to cover their asses, I've had this stuff in one of my tyres for 3 years now, never had a problem!

………….AND very important ;You must know that those chemical damage the internal pressure monitoring sensor,TPMS,of your tire.

I bought a brand new tire and I got a 2cm hole a few days later. I placed a patch inside and seemed to work fine, air still comes out every 5 days now. Would this product work? I’d hate to spend another $300 in a new tire...

Personally I have never walked over to my car and found a flat tire. I have allwasy experienced the flat tire while driving. When I then realise what has happened the tire has been eaten by the rim. I will never buy a car without a proper, full spec, spare wheel.
