How to sidechain bass with kick in Ableton Live

I literally can't imagine a more perfect tutorial. Other tutorials are very time consuming, this one is just straight to the point.

D'un point de vue totalement subjectif je préfère cette basse sans le sidechain :)

I have other drum hits on my drum rack - how do I choose only the kick?
in the compressor under "audio from" - it just lists Drum Rack (which contains snare and hi hats etc)
do i need to have my kick on its own channel for this to work?
