China had been building and changing so fast before 2013. It shared its fast development with all other countries, especially in Africa. Before 2013, there were relatively few developments in Africa and US/the west did not see any future doing business in Africa. It's better now that the west sees China as a competitor and wants to do business in Africa now more than ever. Let China and US compete and develop the whole world faster and better.

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) initiated by China represents a comprehensive global endeavor encompassing diverse financial and developmental initiatives. BRI projects have been executed on a global scale, ranging from power generation facilities in Ecuador to the establishment of high-speed rail networks in Laos. The primary objective underpinning the BRI is the enhancement of connectivity between China and regions within the global South.

Predominantly, the financial resources allocated to the BRI are directed toward hard infrastructure domains, notably encompassing sectors such as transportation, energy, and mining. Additionally, the initiative incorporates cultural and educational facets, including the provision of scholarships and the establishment of Confucius Institutes.

The impetus behind the creation of the BRI can be traced back to the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis, during which China's substantial investments in infrastructure were necessitated by issues of overcapacity. It is vital to underscore that the BRI is not a monolithic entity; rather, it operates as a conceptual umbrella, with multiple entities executing projects across diverse countries and sectors.

While certain nations have reaped benefits from their involvement in BRI projects, others have encountered challenges, manifesting in construction-related complications and apprehensions regarding the repayment of debt. In light of changing circumstances, China is considering a recalibration of its approach, denoted as "BRI 2.0," signifying a shift away from an era characterized by readily available funding and colossal infrastructure projects.

As a result of the BRI, China's global influence has expanded significantly, thereby reshaping perceptions of China among the United States and its allied nations. Beyond infrastructural ambitions, China's motivation for pursuing the initiative encompasses the mitigation of potential conflicts with the United States and an aspiration to influence the global order's evolution.

China's endeavors extend to engaging with the leadership of developing countries through cultural exchange programs and educational opportunities, reflecting its commitment to fostering enduring relationships while concurrently advancing its global influence.

1. You lend money to poor countries there is bound to be corruption.
2. Covid hits, these are poor countries. They cannot pay back. BRICS is not a priority.
3. Where were the origins of covid?
4. What are the reactions from these countries? Do they even want to continue?
