Online shopping gone wrong: Amazon denies man $1,700 refund

I'm literally right now going through the same issue I had to file a Incident report now.

I had the same issue with amazon! They denied my refund of 534.15! I responded back in email, they only sent automated email damaged item without providing any evidence.

Amazon refused to give me my refund of almost 300.00. I sent them back the information that that had requested. They just told me that they didn’t get it and how they can’t do anything more about it! The kicker of this all on top of that is I work for Amazon!!!

I had a $1048 order from Amazon. They sent the box to someone in Texas. DHL provided the actual Texas address that appeared on the packing slip. It was signed for by the person at that address. Amazon still insists this was my correct address in Salt Lake City, 1000 miles away, because the person in Texas signed the box saying it was received. They're saying I can file a local police report about someone stealing it off my porch.

Amazon has been doing this far too much. I've been waiting 2 weeks now to be refunded. It's pathetic.

well it's not clear if he's actually trying to commit fraud or if there is a problem in the shipping aspect or amazon themselves. there should be a method in place to confirm the product that is actually shipped out is in fact the requested item. some sort of picture taking or vid evidence. and maybe that should be done on every stage to eliminate problems including fraud. so the shipper takes a photo, the transporter takes a photo and then the receiver. something like that.

What's this the Canadian government getting pissed off at Amazon because they're not getting some tax so now that we're gonna use a person and say oh they didn't get a refund or bad Amazon maybe Canada Post is the problem. They might want to think about that but no we can't do that because that's a Canadian government service thing

Amazon's going to give them their money back OR they're going to regret it a lot sooner than later
