These internet wanna be stars who sells so called secret places to retire or relocate should stop. They have screwed up places such as Portugal, Spain, Greece and others. Americans, specially Californians should stay home. I understand they have more money but keep it to yourself. The locals from these countries don't deserve to have their lives upside down just because they have less money. Romania, Bulgaria are destroyed countries. Its people are leaving as fast as possible and replaced with asians and other nationalities. Corruption is very high. Politicians are sold out to foreign interests. To Romanians the present situation is a tragedy but an opportunity to the some Americans who can not afford to retire in their own country and go and play 1400 a month millionaires in some poor country and add more gas to the local fire.

Why do we call Americans or British people who emigrate in a different country expats while if someone from like a European country moves to the USA or in the UK they call them migrants or emigrants? Aren't these Americans or Brits who moved to a different country emigrated there? Which means they're emigrants or migrants.

Why the fancy word as if it would be any different than if for example a Romanian went to a richer country?

Look at CE bank's emblematic and beautiful, unique building. It is an amazing piece of architecture. But the bank does not have the money to renovate it? I like to start in Brasov, it is situated within several hours away from Bucharest, Constanta on the Black Sea, Bran Castle, Ski Resorts in Poiana Brașov, Transfagarasan Highway, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Sibiu, Oradea, Castle in Sinaia, and many more.

Can't see everything in 1 week, or even 1 month. Plan on extended stay or multiple trips. You won't be disappointed.
