Great vid but 2 things:

1. Him not liking Season 6 that much breaks my heart. Personal fav ngl.

2. This video made me realise the different watching something through an objective/critical lens like thie and watching something like a regular audience member. I mean you kinda have to be critical to make a video like this so no hate. Just pointing out.

I was just thinking about the Inspector spacetime convention episode, and I think it’s a funny bit of serendipity that Matt Lucas did go on to actually be in Doctor Who

This whole video would’ve been so much better if it went from worst to best instead of in release order

For those wondering why S02 E14 was removed. Chang briefly appeared in blackface for a character in the DND game so instead of cutting out that 5 second bit, they ripped the whole episode. Ironically the Office also had a blackface joke that they just cut, they didn’t remove the whole episode. (I think it was one of Dwight’s friends in blackface for his weird Christmas traditions)

I knew that the bottom of the list was gonna be mostly from S4, but hearing him just repeat season 4 over and over being bad made me ctfu

honestly i think the glee episode is almost as good as remedial chaos theory, the concept is amazing in my opinion and it's one of the best special episodes (if you can it that, community is a special episode itself, eSPEACIALly as time goes on) and weirdly similar to the halloween zombie one lol.

I WILDLY disagree with Antropology 101 not being at least in the top 15.

The karate kid/gay dean episode is one of the top 10

I paused like 16 minutes in to say that Jeff and Britta weren't really a 'will they/won't they' as much as an eventuality with endless comedic possibilities.

G.I Jeff is an "above average episode", really? I couldn't stand to watch the whole thing. It's as bad as it gets. My wife slept through it. Twice. We ended up skipping to the end to get WTF was going on and we were glad we did it.

If only this episode was in season 4, oh... It'd be a "empty shell of Community concepts" or "a wasted usage of cartoon to convey a message that really doesn't say anything". But since it's not there, it's instantly good 😂

Dude, S4E12, really? Convoluted? Have you met Community!? The show thrives in its absurdity. How can someone say an episode like that shows DECLINE? It's just community being community!

S4E11 is super fun. People have this hate about season 4 so hard that everything that worked there seems to be diminished because it was on season 4. I'd bet a lot of money that if the show was exhibited for 1000 random new viewers and no information was given about who's writing the show, no more than 10-20% would hate so much this specific season.

Season 4 for me felt like "oh, it's getting kinda boring", but season 5 was way way way worse in this sense. I was glad they tried some new stuff at 6th season, but God season 4 lots of times feels better than season 5 IMHO.

annoying how at the end they're all fullscreened instead of a list like the individual seasons. Makes it harder to process.

For me I like the second dnd episode more. I really hated pierce. I loved Jonathan bank’s character and his interrogation scene.

I felt Elroy was such a good addition I love Keith David and seeing him as a white guy hype man had me rolling to this day I go up to my friends at parties and say “now that’s a container of liquid “ when they have a drink

Interesting thing to note

both the inspector space time episode and the episode where jeff meets his father were ideas dan harmon had for s4 before he was fired and the notes were scribbled on the whiteboard of the writers room, in fact he was gonna get Richard Ayoade (from the IT crowd) and the director of the my dinner with andrea episode play the fan that abed met instead of matt lucas, also the episode where jeff meets his dad he planned to get bill murray to play him, its such a shame he didn't get to do this it would of bee amazing

I liked how it showed all of the characters and their each individual relationship with each other. They showed how each person can have a unique relationship with the same person.

Celebrity Pharmacology and Lawnmower Maintenance need to be way higher. lol JEEEEEEESUS WWWWEEEPPPTTTT!

This is such a different take on how I will rank things but still pretty entertaining. AD&D is IMO the best community episode and I would put every Season 4 episodes down the drain, maybe other than the body switching one. Thanks for sharing!

Great video, I just wanted to mention that in the episode with pierce and Vaughn in a band you said calling Britta just the letter B was innocent wordplay and didn't intentionally mean bitch. But it definitely did, Pierce literally says "she's a GDB" as in God Damn Bitch. Just a little side note

I really like some of the season 6 episodes you don’t like. Like the grifting one, I think that’s funny. And there were a few others I disagreed with. I wonder if maybe you don’t like Jeff/Annie and that’s where some of the disagreement is. But I also agreed with you on a lot of stuff and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this! Wow. I know I should have just skipped S6 E10 but I remember during the original run HATING it so much that I never bothered to finish the rest of the series. It felt like limbo/some circle of hell. Still never did watch the rest of the series.

I didn't notice this until now, but Introduction to Chaos Theory unintentionally foreshadows what happens when Troy leaves the series. Troy leaves to get the Pizza, the group kind of falls apart. Donald Glover leaves the series, and the series kind of falls apart.

The reason i hate Heroic Origins is because it contradicted so much that's been set

For example: magnitude is sixteen in season 2, and then he shows up at the party - that would make him a freshman. At a senior party where they most definately drank (I'm not american, please don't judge if that's wrong)

Troy and Abed suffering because they sold their handshake to pierce is easily one of the funniest scenes

I never knew that Abed actually was in cougar town, how funny is that

for the glee Christmas episode, in the scene where Annie makes Jeff join the glee club, they have 2 cameras, in one Jeff is sitting with his legs slightly apart with the scarf in between them, in the other one, his legs are together and the scarf goes off to the side.

this annoys me so much

I really feel like elroy and frankie being in the group completely destroyed the "study group's" flow. The whole reason in my opinion the old formula with troy, shirley and pierce worked so well compared to the last season is because Troy is able to bring out the best of danny pudi, Shirley while not bringing much to the table is there to cause conflict when pierce makes a racist or sexist joke. Elroy is like shirley, doesn't add any substance and is like daily dose of internet, adding useless commentary, frankie completely contrasts troy being organized and a worse version of annie. We already had a perfect or near perfect set of characters, I think adding more characters just made it worse. Sure, Dean is fine in the background and Chang being funny at times, Elroy and Frankie, I beg you not to be in the fucking movie. At the start, britta was just a love interest for jeff and later also annie, but they grew into quite individual characters although pushed to the back still not annoying and add some chaos or jokes like how season 4 britta'd community. Pierce was annoying but created chaos and breaks up the groups flow in a good way for him to learn at times. Shirley had very sweet episodes with jeff. That's all.
