I have a few stone chips on my X5 in Titansilver metallic, nightmare to repair
ОтветитьWhat is the brand name of the hardener and where can I get it? I have the factory paint, but unsure about which hardener to mix into the paint. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhat brand of paint is that?
ОтветитьIs this something most repair shops can do? I keep reading about how difficult it is and how it will never look right, but I find it hard to believe that a competent auto body shop can't fix a small chip. My car just had a rock hit the door and I want it fixed as it's only six months old. Honestly, even if it's 90-95% better I would be happy. I just know from experience that touch up pens are terrible and it's difficult to make them uniform and flat.
ОтветитьGreat work! I'm about to do the same on my Audi . Can I ask what is the block you're using to sand down the excess paint filled in the chip ?
ОтветитьSo far I can only find touch up paint that is not acrylic and does not contain hardener. Please send link of where I can buy. Thank you
ОтветитьWow! Amazing work. Thx for sharing
ОтветитьDo you know if any color is available in achrilic
ОтветитьOh man black is beautiful but brutal to keep up . My car is 2 weeks old and I just got my first rock chip in hood. 😢😢😢
ОтветитьHi, I used about same method in the past filling paint than a bit clear coat on top than wet sanding and than polishing and the bonnet looks like new painted so I know this method works!!! your method is less heavy on the paint, but you don't use clearcoat but hardener, can I also just make the mix of basecoat and clearcoat? or should it really be acrylic and harder? the degree of gloss then very much depends on the mix. I have already watched many other scratch repairs and videos from your channel but could not find the answer here.
ОтветитьWhere do i get one of those little needles?
ОтветитьFantastic
I have small rust spots where the paint chipped what primer you recommend ?
Solvent based
Thanka!!
I have purchased the file, what is the applicator needle called? I can't find anything similar
ОтветитьCan this technique be used with touch up pen ?
Ответитьcan I get this acrylic paint for my mazda 3 2016? it's red soul 41v . If I can't find paint with clear coat, what I do then ?
ОтветитьNo need clear coat?
ОтветитьWhere and how do you get the paint and hardner?
ОтветитьHATE THE MUSIC. wAY TOO LOUD!!!!
ОтветитьHow would you fix a chip that has spidered out. It’s a chip but has 6 cracks extending from the chip.
ОтветитьCan anyone give amazon link for products used. Thanks
Ответитьthis was great thanks
ОтветитьIf I repaired the stone chip already (base + clear coat on top) with touch up paint that did not match, is there a way to fix this?
ОтветитьAmazing job !! I appreciate your thorough explanation on how to repair stone chips! I look forward to repairing the chips on my SUV, thanks to your video!
ОтветитьWow I never knew of this type of process for repairing road chips on paint ? Re: the paint acrylic is that something I ask for when ordering paint ? And do I order through dealer or online through aumotive supplier idk the results were awesome and looks easy just hv to take my time as you were saying.
Jhn corona, ca
ohhh si esa lima tuviera aca la de problemas que me ahorraria en el trabajo :,(
ОтветитьShow it on silver🤗 or different colour then black
Ответитьعالی بود. موفق باشی!!!
ОтветитьHey great video! I have one of those files. Are there paint colors that this exact method will not work on? Like paint that has flake/pearl in it?
ОтветитьWow! Amazing video! What a transformation. Thank you.
ОтветитьQuestion, when i buy a touch up paint from a paint supplier can i add additional hardener to get it to dry faster ?
ОтветитьThat was a effing amazing job 👏🏼 😊
ОтветитьGreat video, what type of polish did you use ?
ОтветитьGreat job! Where can I get a sanding block that you're using? I live in the states and have a nice patina on the 50 yr old paint I'm fixing chips on. The car has not seen sun for over 34 years being inside a building so the paint is in fairly decent condition but having shop rash (scrapes) to correct. Thank you
ОтветитьThose are so small compared to mine 🥲
Ответитьhow did that say its a pure black paint?
ОтветитьCan you use glass dropper? I have like 40 of these stone chips on my hood
ОтветитьWhat did this cost the customer ?
Ответить@amddetailing what polishing or cutting compound to use?
Ответитьwhere to buy your cars colour acrylic paint?
ОтветитьAmazing repair thanks for the video - @Amddetailing some of the comments below say this does not work on metalic paint, is that true, also with the Mirka tool work with touch up paint high spots or is the paint too soft?
Ответитьwhat type of hardener? any specific brand/one?
Ответитьwhy not first use a base coat, then 2K clear, then sand the clear with the denibbing tool?
ОтветитьThanks for this video. The tool works great on your car! I bought one today but I found that the edges of it keep scratching my paintwork even when holding it really lightly, do you have any tips to avoid this? Thanks!
ОтветитьTop work and keep it up. I have a question. If I order black metallic paint with pearl effect, the clear hardener is included separately and not incorporated into the paint. Could it also work as below or is the loose blank separately a problem for sanding.
1. fill stone chips with black paint
2. White hardener on black paint
3. Allow to dry for 24 hours
4. sand with mirca
What would you recommend if a rock chip is only as deep as the clear coat but your base coat still intact? Would you fill it in with base coat touch up still?
ОтветитьWhat’s a bottle cork? Lol
ОтветитьI can’t understand why the Mirka doesn’t scratch the surrounding paint.
ОтветитьWhat if I don’t have a polishing tool? Can it be done by hand polish
ОтветитьWhat if the rock chip has rust? How to remove prior to correction?
ОтветитьCan i do this with silver?
