I noticed that the drone nose signal is worse than when the drone is backwards.. so why not comeback backwards to avoid lost the signal during the returning to home? Great video!

Awesome real-world long range test! Do you think the wind speed would have been lower at a lower altitude? Do you think you could have gotten additional battery life from the drone if you had flown at a lower altitude on the way back home?

You should have done it in sport mode at over 15m/s. At higher speeds it has more efficiency, you could have went past 11,000m and came all the way back.

Why did you leave the drone at 500m? Isn't the wind speed lower closer to the ground?😁

Fly in sports mode, fly back the same way. Dont dilly dally on yhe way

You need to subtrack the height of your mountain to get the true height.

Any issue with FAA or needing an exception for this test? I am a noob to flying drones and I'd like to fly longer distances without a visual flight, any tips? I just took some time to learn more about the rules/regulations, it's kind of lame.

It should do better if you put it into sports mode. You can double the speed with a small increase in battery usage.

According to this video, I can confirm that mini 4 pro has a much better rc connection. I was 7km away with full signal at 170m, and there were trees between me and drone :) plus managed to get it home with 30% battery left. But I assume this drone could make like 3-4 km more if it was not flying in crosswind. You can see that green horizon in the left bottom corner is not leveled, which means you are flying sideways or drone is compensating crosswind

You do know that Lithium batteries should not be discharged below 20%, right? If it is so discharged that it cannot be switched on, it is already damaged. It should be charged to at least 50% as soon as possible.

Your video is 4k 60 fps. if you set it to 1080 with 40 or 60 fps, you can get more range
