Best game ever made until this very day is AVP for the Atari Jaguar,..unfortunately the sequel for Jag CD never went past the early development stage..

One can't help it but put up a graph of the quality of games in terms of story, combat system ect in correlation to the improvement of the hardware.
The better the hardware got , the worse the games seem to get. Actually kinda sad...

AvP gold edition in the PC was my jawn! Still my all time fave game ever.

Without a doubt the 1990s side scrolling beatups were and are better than the crap Hollywood type video games of today pandering to minorities that don't even play them.

Gggman have you ever played Predator: concrete jungle for ps2 or xbox? Love that game to this day, it has it's own issues but I'd say it's the best experience playing as a predator out of any game out there.

C'mon... you've got to respect AVP (Jaguar) for implementing the egg morphing concept from the deleted scene from Ridley Scott's Alien. It's just a grisly concept and it astounds me that none of the subsequent theatrical releases (nor games, aside from the Jaguar release) have utilised it.

I've not played AVP for the SNES but yeah, it looks pretty bad. Reminds me of Splatterhouse 2 for the Genesis/Megadrive in a lot of ways and that's not a compliment.

My own personal view is...

AVP (Arcade): Superb beat 'em up.


AVP (Jaguar): Best game on the system, but has aged kinda poorly. Still worth a go though.

AVP (PC): Very good game.

AVP2 (PC): Excellent game. Hold up really well and is still a joy to experience to this day.

EVERYTHING ELSE: Varying degrees of garbage.

Kakashi sensei voicing the narrator in AVP Extinction was a nice surprise.

Capcom AVP is insane, the best for the franchise. Two badass Preds, Frickin' Dutch and Lynn being a total ass kicking waifu.
The coolest thing is not only have the two humans eventually gotten NECA figures they also appeared in AVP miniature table top game as an expansion.

Extinction was a good RTS, but with a very big flaw, it was released only for console, i would have preferred playing it on PC. But it was really fun, managing your hive, kidnapping people and turning your facehuggers in to xenomorphs was really funny

AVP2 was my first experience of online multiplayer. Even over 56k it was very hard to play but what a game that was. A remake would be incredible.

Say what you will about the Rebellion games, they were still much better than Aliens Colonial Marines. Even Rogue Warrior was better than Colonial Marines.

I remember the first PC Shooter as a kid. I only liked the Marine campaign, power fantasies are just not my thing.

The motion detector was the scariest thing. Especially if it reacted to an elevator. xD

Playing Alien in multiplayer AVP '99 was so much fun hiding in the dark and crawling all over the ceiling, then dropping onto unsuspecting players and chomping their head to get all my health back.

God man I remember playing avp2 when I Jesus I don’t even know I would have been probably about 8 lol playing it on my old pos family computer all that lot and it’s like I would replay the first two levels over and over again because the predator vision made me so just like sick and uncomfortable with the fast movement I could not do anything so I’d just be going around the first levels instead

She literally sat next to me and Id say like 3 and she would press the number three on the numkeys because Idk I was too young to be good at like using a keyboard lol

I didn’t mind the melee and avp 2010 because I was a pro at mastering it. I was the number 2 alien in the world

I still play avp pvp. Bro it has some issues but just know the predator is the strongest and the xhenomorph is the weakest unless ur a tail wall spammer. But oh man are u gonna be dizzy. Lol still really fun through. The marine is simple. Shotgun = one shot

They should do a remaster of the 2010 AVP, and a remaster of AVP 2. If they aren't going to give us another one.

i did the whole marine bit in the 2010 one with just the pulse rifle(no it wasn't good)

I was never any damn good at anything besides half life multiplayer on classic pc so I really enjoyed the 2010 AVP. The predator is a real power trip and I really liked the story of 6 in the alien campaign.
Might have to track down AVP2 though as I had no idea the campaign was so well put together.

That nightclub sequence had me shitting my pants and is literally ICONIC.
