you didn't calculate the most important part......"medical expenses" to include hospital stays, prescription drugs, doctor visits, and etc relative to "medical expenses"
ОтветитьFunny how the midwest is almost as cheap as Thailand lol 😆
ОтветитьDoable. I just need to work 2 jobs 5 years or so to retire
ОтветитьGreat stocks and I just bought in on them, but I'm interested in making short term profit, let say turn a $150K to $500k in 6months, I'd appreciate tips on how what stocks to buy to make this much profit.
ОтветитьI sold my condo and invested the money i made, i am now living with my mom she is 80 taking care of her, i will sell the house when the time comes and have close to 700000$ but Canadian money, around 60y old, i will also have a pension because i been working for more then 35y in Canada. Living in Thailand looks so much cheaper then anywhere else, i don't drink but i do eat out.
ОтветитьHaving no A/C in Thailand sounds uncomfortable.
ОтветитьI could never imagine spending 4 grand a month 😂 I'm a minimalist I need a room with some ac that's it I'll be living the good life in my 2nd chapter of life for so cheap
ОтветитьWhat if you live more than 20 years like in your 90s and 100s?
Inflation will ruin that 4000 usd interest in time easily!!
Your home looks beautiful. Of course everyone’s lifestyle & retirement is gonna be different. Looks like a great life
ОтветитьThe exact amount 555 the best one yet 555
ОтветитьYou need to redo your math. If you have $1,000,000 you can purchase a retirement annuity that will pay you $7,000 a month of more. Or you can keep it in a mix of stocks and bonds and earn $60,000 a year. Other options. You don't take your expenses and multiply it by 20 years and use that. It's simple wrong., NPV. Secondly, a retirement requires 800,000 OF NEW MONEY in your account EVERY YEAR.
ОтветитьYour numbers are way off
ОтветитьThank you for the videos. What if an American such as l moves to Thailand. I have 100k in bank and I am receiving $ 1800 month SS Would that suffice to retire there ? Thank you again
ОтветитьThe Thai government only wants wealthy falang to retire there and they keep changing the requirements when ever they please, and they don't care who they hurt, not one bit! So no I love Thailand and Thai people lived there for 5 yrs but I cannot live in a country that despises me and wants to screw me in my old age! Despite the fact that America has donated billions to Thailand and its military! So I as an American taxpayer have donated money to that country, but they don't appreciate any of it! So I'm done with Thailand, going to retire rather to the Philippines instead!
ОтветитьIn other words you must be wealthy to retire in Thailand!
ОтветитьI'll stay on south side
ОтветитьRemarkably sensible guy
ОтветитьOr I would guess if I paid approx $2000/month in America my cost could be around $1300/month for my level of living. 1500 would also be acceptable.
Ответить$4000.00 per month !!!???? that's crazy too much! I am living in America for less then that. Also it depends on whether you own a home there or not, if you take care of the family and if you go out to bars every night. You can live on SO MUCH less then that even now as real-estate has gone up so much over the last 15 years. I give my girl 20,000 baht every month for our home in Udon and when I am there I need only about 10,000 for myself. we then pay 35,000 baht a year for an extra condo in Koh Samui and some more for emergencies and travel. you and your girl can live for 45,000 baht easily once you own your own home. at 32:1 do the math.
ОтветитьThanks so much for your sharing and i wish you have an amazing and fruitful retirement in Thailand!!
ОтветитьReally good video mate, I'm heading back over for 6 weeks in the summer and can't wait 🍻🇮🇪
ОтветитьYour figures don't take into account having that money invested, if it earnt 8% you would never run out of money. You could live off the interest.
Ответитьbudgeting is the most important thing for whatever u want to do. But there are many things to consider: where are you gonna retire, the lifestyle u want to have and many other things
ОтветитьThe intent of this video was I am sure good, but like many say here, it all depends on how you want to live. The cost of living in Thailand will vary on each person, and the lifestyle they choose to live. I have been here for 5 years. You can use credible agencies to get a retirement visa, which will allow you to not have to jump through hoops or having to have a load of money in a Thai bank. I have a retirement visa now. There are many ways to get things done here, and those ways vary from city to city.
ОтветитьLove to here about your dogs in Thailand.
ОтветитьNope. If I can get 200,000 USD I can get 10%
ОтветитьMan stop. I know someone personally.. living on 1000 a month..condo 400 a month utilities ..food.. and medical 800 total with no savings
ОтветитьI have $4800 so I think I can move to Thailand.
ОтветитьShould have invest in BTC 2 years ago
Ответитьwhat is the process to go to Thailand and what is the maximum number of days that I could stay there. second, can I go to Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia or Vietnam without any problem and go back to Thailand. I am a Retired Military and I get a pension. Thanks in advance
ОтветитьThis is assuming you're just spending capital without investing. I see a lot of resources pointing to 1500$ per month being feasible, that's 18,000$ per year. I'm in the blockchain space and it's easy to generate 10% yearly interest on capital safely.
Knowing that, you'd only need 250-300K generating 10%, pay taxes on that and never drain your initial capital. If you're a bit more risk tolerant, there are good options for up to 20% yearly interest (on stable assets) which could make this life work on 100-150K
That assumes you'll live for 20 years then die. Actually, you'll be older and less inclined to work but, if you are lucky, still alive and in need of income.
Ответить16 dogs, damn.
ОтветитьCurious, as a retiree in Thailand, can you pick up a part-time job teaching English or some other type job if you like? or are you not allowed?
ОтветитьThx for information my big brother
ОтветитьWhy not to have that $ 500k in investments and live of 8% interest $40k a year?
ОтветитьFuck that!!! I’d rather take my chances with the Philippines. Thailand has become way to expensive! And tougher on retirees and particular tourist. What is the average social security payment About $1400 monthly?
ОтветитьAs a Thai this budget is seem to over for me but if you wanna live in Pattaya or other tourist city this 2,400$ USD per month is fine. I can inform you that Thai fresh graduate salary are around 500$/15,000฿ THB is quite high for them living alone in city even look after their parents. The rent of a good apartment which have microwave, fridge,TV and AC in city like Bangkok is about 6000฿/200$ per month. If you have over 1,000$ a month for spending that is quite wealthy for average people here. If you wanna know more you can search it yourselves ahh.. and the last one our minimum wage here is 11$/330฿ per day so I hope my informations are useful not more or less for you to decide coming here, Thailand is welcome for everyone.🙏
ОтветитьThis is stupid… USD 2400/ mo in Thailand?? That’s like USD 15000/mo lifestyle in LA. Thailand is more like USD <1000/mo for an amazing life in Bangkok prime. Stop lying you fruitcake
ОтветитьDid you mention inflation?
Ответитьyou won't need 4000$, 1500-2000$ can do it for a normal lifestyle....
ОтветитьSpend less, if you buy things you do not need , you are only robbing yourself ..
Change your lifestyle, eat local food ..rent a smaller place ..drink less ...
His numbers are wack
Ответитьyou didn't factor in inflation.
Ответитьis 58 too old to retire overthere?
Ответитьso his bud is over 144000 bath a month...
ОтветитьI live on 2K/month in smalltown Oklahoma and rarely cook at home. I'm pretty confident I can live on $1200/month in Thailand.
ОтветитьCertainly no accountant..figures?? for Australia not Thailand, been 24 times, max as a king 2,000 Baht a week..
ОтветитьI'm confused. Who is Ross?
This is NOT DoMoreLife. What the hell?
