I remember this from when I was a kid and I went through it with my dad.

That’s the Haunted Mansion that I know.

I'd love to see a "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" themed overlay this holiday season.

My husband and I will be in Disney World next month. I. HOPE we’ll be able to do this one!!!!!

I hate dark and enclosed spaces would this be a horrible experience for me (asking people who have rode it)

Amazing ride

Most of the Disneyland versions of rides are better but this is one of the ones that comes close

Did you know that there used to be pop-up ghosts that were in the attic?
If not, let me explain. When the mansion ride first opened, they wanted a surprise. Pop up ghosts that scream at you, Walt Disney thought. So, they put them in! In 1995, music was added to the attic, and the pop up ghosts were dressed as grooms that shouted "I DO!" But in 2007, they were unfortunately removed from the ride, and the beating heart bride changed to another bride known as "Constance". Do any of you miss them? Let me know!

I rode this is 2000 when I was 17 . I have always loved Jim Henson and wanted to be a puppeteer. This gave me chills and butterflies and I cried because of how beautiful it was !

My first time on this ride my brother was a baby and got so clscared of the stretching room he had to be escorted out of the ride.

Sigh, 2 days ago I rode this for a third time on my family trip. Now I'm back home in Michigan.

I went to Disney World as a kid. The last time i was an adult in 1991? I think. No wonder I don't remember the 1 or 2 times I went on this. It was DARK! I remembered the room that got taller. That's it!

That was the first ride I went to on my first visit to Disney World cause I was excited about it

They should’ve made the movie adaptation an animated movie instead of live action.

I wonder if any real spirits ever come here and wonder wtf is going on!? Why are these spirits so snoody...can't even speak to us.

Watching this after watching The new Haunted Mansion movie! So cool how much they incorporated from this into the movie, the accuracy !

That ride got me some nerves when I was a kid hahaha specially that lady at the end

I remember going on this when I was like 10 y.o., so 23 years ago, and I was so scared the whole time waiting in line. It was just the contrast on how it looked in the "lawn" versus how creepy the mansion looked. And I have always had an active imagination, so the water front property like bayou and the wolves howling the closer you got to the entrance of the mansion and just being low to the ground since I was short and not being able to see ahead of me, so the anticipation was killing me was all so nerve racking.

Then when you step into the foyer and it gets cold and all I did the whole time was hold on my step dads pants and look down at the ground the whole time. I grew up with Resident Evil and Tales From the Crypt and so actually coming to something called the Haunted Mansion was just terrifying to me.

Fun Fact: Before Disney introduced the world to The Haunted Mansion Ride, people never REALLY decorated for Halloween at their house. Once people came to Disney and saw how cool the haunted mansion was, they wanted to try and recreate that spooky feel to their own home at Halloween.
Soon, people were doing more than just a pumpkin on the front step...and it was all because of THIS ride.

This is the first ride I go to at Disney. It’s my favorite ride ever at Disney. Too bad none of us can be buried there. Drats.

Welcome Mortals To The Haunted Mansion

This and the tower and terror are the most terrifying rides !! I went to Disneyland when I was 7 and it was crazyyy !!

I rode this in 1991 I was 8 good times for sure

The last time I went to WDW and the last time I rode this my younger sister screamed the entire time luckily I rode with another friend and I didn’t have to sit with her. That sounds a bit harsh but the ride is sorta unenjoyable when you have a crying screaming toddler next to you.

my first time riding this, i was terrified and wouldn’t open my eyes. still scared me at the end a bit but it’s an awesome ride and i love it so much!

My first memory of this ride is when you’re getting ready to board the “doom” buggy my dad was standing behind me and said, “look, everybody goes in - but nobody comes out” (because people exit in a different area and they are empty when you board) freaked me out then - but makes me smile every time I ride now

It’s amazing I went to Disney World for the first time when they opened back in the early 70s I still love it until this day!

Went to WDW for the first time in over 20 years, and made a mad dash immediately for this ride; I knew it had to be the first one I rode.

Not a fan of the interactive queue. Always thought it was roo cartoons and distracts from the mansion. In my opinion at least.
