It's not deleting anything, just cancelling it. I need to delete it and create it again as I need to change the country and currency

This doesn't delete the account which is what the title of this video suggests, it merely cancells it. The data is all still there and can be reactivated. There is a difference between cancelling and deleting, this is just cancelling unfortunately otherwise the option to reactivate the account wouldn't be there.

Ad accounts where you're the only administrator can't be deleted as of 7/30/23 - it's stupid, but we're basically stuck with any ad account where there's only one admin, even it it's been canceled (canceled and deleted are two completely different things).

Alternatively, you can set up a BS Gmail account and invite that email account as an admin, and then remove your access from the original email account. However, if there's already another administrator, you can simply remove your own access.

The title of this video is misleading (gimmicky) because it doesn't tell you how to DELETE the account (because accounts CAN'T be deleted) and therefore causes frustration. Maybe that's why it's getting downvotes.

Hi. Another vote to change the title to something that represents the content. Cancelled =/= deleted.

Also, you CAN remove a Google Ads account so it no longer shows up on your Google Account. If you're the only user, this would actually be equivalent to "deleting."

First, cancel your account per the instructions in this video. Then, while in the account, click "Tools and settings," then expand "Setup," and click "Access and security." You should see yourself as the only user and the option to "Remove access" all the way to the right. By clicking that, you will lose access and Ads account will no longer be attached to your Google account.

[Note: If you try to do the above before cancelling the account, you will get a message that you need to add another user and make them the admin. If you cancel the account first, the wanring message does not appear and you can move forward.]

I have a question about deleting your ads account. Can you delete a google ads account and start a fresh one with a new email? There was no suspension on the account prior. The account is a mess and the business is going under new management. I know you can’t double dip on ads, but if the account is canceled and no ads are running, you should be ok to start a new account with fresh campaigns?

Just don't understand, didn't do anything but Google magically activated Google Ads on my account yesterday, their "offical" help guide didn't help at all on how to disable the account nor do they have any phone number or email address I can contact with.

It's this guy's guide save the day. I deleted Google Ads account and removed all payment method from Google after that immediately.

2023 is the year when famous company starts to backstab you, can't trust anyone.

May want to change this title to How To Cancel Your Ads Account as it very unhelpful when we want to actually Delete our accounts.
