Bret was the real deal. Goldberg was all hype, pyro, and intensity.

This was one of the flaws with WCW during that time. Most of their big main events always ended with some type of interference from the NWO or some other heel. They were so predictable. You knew the referee was gonna get knocked out at some point in the match, and someone was gonna come down and interfere it just never failed. It just got to the point it lost the element of surprise because you just expected it. And then the referee conveniently comes to after Goldberg has been assaulted and the put Bret Hart on top of him 😂. Ridiculous...

How the referee surmises that Bret wins that match by virtue of Piper covering Goldberg when he isn't even a legal participant in the match, plus two other guys inside the ring that aren't supposed to be there, is beyond me.
