Thank you! As an illustrator user who is interested in learning how to use inkscape more proficiently, is this the functional equivalent of stroking a path with a pattern brush (in AI)? It appears so, but perhaps you have more insight.

Thank you. I know this is an older video but I have not used inkscape before and you explained things very well for a newcomer. It seems powerful but also frustrating, well, I guess until I learn the UI and rules better.

in 1.3, this is under the Extensions menu > Generate from Path > Pattern along path - and it works without converting the circle to a path or copying the shape - all you have to do it select them both, then do "Pattern along path"

I was using Inkscape from years and never knew tools and use cases you show in videos... I think Inkscape need shape cutting/ designer tool like its coming in other softwares... I found Inkscape better than Illustrator as its easy to work and less cluttering... And can you suggest how to move tool bar from left to top 😅
