Uploading Google's Global Site Tag to your website through your admin dashboard.

Have you ever wanted to know on what pages visitors to your website are spending their time viewing? Or from what geographical location they're visiting?

Google Analytics is the key to all this information, and so much more.

Today I'm going to walk you through the steps of uploading google's global site tag to your website through the admin dashboard.

The first thing you'll need to do is log in to your google analytics account. Once there, navigate to the bottom left of the page and click on admin.

Here you'll see account settings, property settings, and below that tracking info. Click tracking info. Navigate down to tracking code. Here's where we find the global site tag.
This is the code that allows you to track all sorts of data from your website.

Navigate back to the admin dashboard
Scroll down to the website and further down to templates.
Click on templates, and we see analytics.
Click on analytics, and this brings us to the page to upload the global site tag.
click add and input the information
Once we've saved everything, we see the code displayed here.
Now we need to connect this code to the page you wish to track.
Navigate to Website-Templates-Templates
Once you click Templates the second time, you'll see all your pages. Click the page you wish to track, which will be the page with your business name. Under the javascript tab, you'll see an empty box. Click on the box and choose Google Analytics Code.

You're all set. Give it a day or so, and you'll start seeing all your data fields begin to populate with every piece of information imaginable.
