How To Download & Install CurseForge for Minecraft Mods & Modpacks

When I load Minecraft it says exit code 1 game crashed how do I fix

Hi @TheBreakdownXYZ , can you use a modpack to play on prexisiting vanilla worlds(im not seeking to download any world generation altering mobs so i dont think there would be problems with weird chunk generation)

can i add shaders to my mods??

Whenever I load into a world using a modpack from curseforge it always crashes. Any tips on how to resolve this? Another question, do I need java and forge downloaded to use modpacks from curseforge?

i cant get the launcher to with mc for windows, the launcher says its outdated and when i load up the updated launcher the mod doesent launch it only launches normal mc

Do minecraft mods not work on singleplayer mode ? Because if its only for a dedicated server. I now understand why no modpack will install in curseforge.

So a couple weeks ago I recently got a new PC for the first time. Yesterday, I successfully downloaded Minecraft and played it for a while with no issued. I also altered some of the in game settings to lower graphics ect to make it run smoother.

However, the main thing I wanted to do was have atleast 1 mod. So, because I knew of Curseforge however had not much experience with it before, I went to the website and downloaded it. I then went back to the website and found a mod I liked the look of (Sophisticated Wolves by nightkosh). I installed that after reading comments ect ect to make sure it was good and working. It showed up in my folders.

However, no matter what I do or how hard I try - I can't figure out how to actually use it. It's just sitting in my folders and I don't know how to actually use it in game. I tried a bunch of tutorials but I must be missing something or doing something wrong as it just doesn't work. When I open Minecraft, there's not that little button that says 'Mods' and I can't figure out how to get it there. Nothing I do is working, and I can't really find any in-depth tutorials or solutions to the issues im having. As I said, I have zero experience with CurseForge, and also don't know much about Java Minecraft.

Also, I've realised that when I actually open the curseforge app instead of just website Sophisticated Wolves (the mod I want) doesn't show up on Modpacks nor Mods. It only appears when I'm on the website. The mod was made in May 2014 however updated on July 6 2023, with 1.4M downloads.

Any tips or anything?? I really need some help
