I use a Ricoh GR digital camera from 2005 for black and white and a Canon Ixus 100 IS for colour.
Excellent results.The Canon is REALLY tiny.
Both are with me all the time.

I use two Sony NEX-5T cameras. The size is almost the same, but more flexible. And it's easy to take two cameras instead of changing lenses.

I have used the XQ2 since 2014 and always has it with me, I even took it to the summit of Cho Oyu the Worlds 6th highest mountain and got some amazing images. As you say it never gets in the way. It is so small and light weight that there is no excuse for not having it with you. I am satisfied with the image quality even though in my daily work I am a Hasselblad X2D shooter, for its size it’s a very good camera.

The older we get, the more prone we are to going back to the simple. In the '90s, we lived in the moment at clubs and concerts. We had these little digital point-and-shoots then, but hardly anyone (but parents) used them. Phones were small, then got huge, and now we have small options again for those who crave simple. I'm 45 now, and I like a bit of both.

Why not use the camera on your phone if you want simple, always on you, and hi-res?

You can shoot B&W and scan for not a ton of $. Use a monobath developer and scan the negatives at home.

I’ve never heard of it either and I’ve been circling the industry most of my life , so I went onto eBay and tapped in XQ2 my reaction OMG 600 + for a 12mp 4x zoom camera . That’s just ridiculous 😮 not sure how much you found one for

I won't buy Fujifilm compact even for free in the future.
After what happened to my XF1 lens I learned the build these camera to fail.
The lens is connected to the camera with a low quality flying ribbon cable that will eventually desolder and brick the camera.
No way to fix it: the ribbon is as expensive and the camera itself and opening the camera will ruin it's. No reapir offered from Fujifil either.

The one small I use is the Olympus XZ-1 with its F1.8 lens . Super camera.

I had a nice camera in my front pocket for at least 10 years... It's called a mobile phone (for that "good enough" snap). All joking aside, with a Pixel phone, iphone or samsung, you get a great camera nowadays. No need buying overpriced old junk that run thru batteries like crazy. Still cool to buy an old piece for the kicks though.

But there's no viewfinder. So no, not what I want in Arizona. And the price is at $700 on Amazon. People are smoking crack to think I'd pay that much, when I can get a Fujifilm X-H1 body for the same amount (a much better camera).

Good Luck finding one for 150.00 -200.00 lol. Hard to believe they increased in price to 4-5 hundred in just 5 months.

I have a Sony Rx100 Mk II that I use for similar situations you use this Fuji for. I don't use it super often, but when I do, I always love it.

100 seems little steep for a 2/3". Now being 500usd I'll stick with a Sony point and shoot, they're even more pocketable and are quite a workhorse.
