Thanks City Council for updating us on your undertakings.On the part of siltation along our rivers I would suggest that there be an awareness campaign to encourage the illegal gold panners to seal back all the pits after digging for the mineral.I would suggest that there be a day or days when our councillors can visit the panners in our catchment and downstream areas to beg them to encourage each other on the importance of sealing back their pits after extracting gold.That in my view will go a long way in addressing the issue of smooth water transition along those rivers.I feel like if all our councillors can commit to this they can then divide themselves to attend to all those rivers affected by illegal gold panning.Siyabonga Cite I will be more than happy if you can forward my suggestion to our Council.
