The Inclusive Citizenship Series: City of Surakarta (Solo)

The Inclusive Citizenship Series is a collaborative video series aiming to advance the issue of inclusive planning and design in Indonesian cities. The series was originally produced for the purpose of Overseas Overseas Engagement 2021 between students from the Urban Citizenship Academy (Kota Kita, Indonesia) and the MSc Social Development Practice (University College London, United Kingdom).

This video will explore the Indonesian city of Surakarta, commonly known as Solo, and its efforts to become an inclusive city. We will learn from Purwanti, Advocacy and Networking Coordinator in SIGAB Indonesia, and hear about initiatives and challenges related to inclusivity in the city.
