A beautiful song. Anyone still listen in 2023?

It's so crazy how songs get associated with such specific times in our lives. When this song was released I was a depressed trainee teacher working in inner city London. It was winter and it was cold and bleak. The pgce was grueling and supply jobs were poorly paid and often unfriendly. But I took small comforts in buying hot cups of tea and toasted sandwiches in greasy spoon cafes when I did supply work all over London, good music and the days at school where I saw the most challenging students make progress. I appreciated family members helping me to find better housing and everyone who supported me during that time. I moved away and retrained and I'm so glad I'm no longer working in that inner city bleakness anymore. I used to play this song on repeat at that time and found it mesmerising. It helped me get through that time, thanks Alisha for the good music.
