Alternatively uninstall all steam games except the one you currently play.. Then if you feel you want to play another one wait a few hrs for it to download. OR decide last thing at night and allow it to download while you sleep, this is what i do to save disc space especially with GIGANTIC games like RDR2 which is 120GB.

this works on NTFS formatted drives but not on exFAT formatted drives. it worked on the drives inside my computer because they were NTFS, but it did not work on my external SSD that is exFAT.

this is very good for rdr2 cause it takes up like 150-200gb

would using windows full drive compression (hardrive properties) result in the same effects as this? would compressing the entire hardrive help with games performance? also, do you know how bad a performance hit on the cpu compressed files are, as i read it can be bad.

Guys, if you compress your Hard drive, Yes, it does save space but your CPU works even harder making your pc slower but more space So i recommend not compressing your Hard drive
