Man I’m so sorry but holy shit game design wise this thing plays like total shit - besides the gunplay. The flashlight mechanic is dope other than that did they really shove platforming into this game?? Controls are beyond stiff and it has so much padding it’s astonishing. Maybe this is just not a game u rush thru cuz I just wanted to get to the second game but fuck this games ROUGH

Fuck this game is infuriating. Literally had enemies literally appear right in front of me or on me, so many times, only to give me a one second window to react before being hacked to death. This hit the shit pile real quick for me after episode 3. I tried I really tried but this walkthrough does not represent my time in the game at all. Thanks though, the walkthrough was good.

If that's a real quote by Stephen King, I disagree with it, because it doesn't happen like that to me. If a story has no resolution and just stops rather than ending, it will eventually fade away from my memory. In time, it will be as if I never read it at all. A strong resolution instead, something that wasn't just unexpected, but unthought of, and still makes perfect sense, is going to permanently etch itself into my memory due to the power of the relation between the ending and the story being established.

Max payne copy paste but newer version

This was one of the first games that I actually found an attachment for, and I played through the whole story over the course of a summer. Nothing will ever compare to sitting in my basement home theatre, blanket over me, volume super high, and having a 2 hour play session. 11/10

The devs should remake this game, just for the sake of modernity and enjoyment at the same time.

I remember i was a teen when I first played this game. The soundtrack, the atmosphere, and the story, it was also so captivating. I remember writing a creative piece at school, which was a rip-off of this game 😂😂, the teachers never found out, and i got a pretty good grade, so win-win.
It's still one of my favourite indie games of all time. I can't wait to get Alan wake 2.

I swear, this game’s story makes so much more sense after playing Control.

Playing alan wake for the 1st time in 2023 for anticipation of the sequel. This wouldve been one of my favorite games if I played it on the 360.

So I take this is about dodging? if you miss a crate of ammo u are basically out of ammo for all the enemies, so is just spamming dodge and try to run with 0 stamina, I thought it was much better by the opinion people have of this.

I play it agin with my newly install SSD on my Windows 11 Pro 22H2 on my MSI 8GB gaming pc and man the graphics and loading time is so fast compare to my previous HDD

I love the world and setting, and the weird Twin Peaks vibes of AW, but the gameplay doesn't work as well for me, so love having this kind of thing available. I really appreciate the inclusion of the pages and the Twilight Zo- I mean Night Springs bits, as they help sell the story so well. To those who are complaining about a specific scene that was added to the remaster, I think the only response is to play it yourself if you really can't deal with it not being in here!

Thanks for this upload. I really wanted to play this before the sequel comes out, but I found the gameplay so dated and frustrating that I wasn’t enjoying it.
