Talk about declutering you freezer: my daughter was moving and asked if she can use my freezer until she came back into town. Not a problem. It's been 4 months and percent lying deceased cat is still there. She keeps saying she's coming to get it so she can creamate it, but has yet to do it. It takes an entire shelf, not to mention creepy.
ОтветитьDamn cute. Nice body
ОтветитьYou cook, "At least twice a week!" That's hysterical!!!! I cook at least 7 times a week!
ОтветитьIt was SO difficult to get rid of my books last year, but I’m so thankful I did. I had hundreds of books. Now I only have a dozen favorites. I read on the kindle or Libby. And go for a walk to all the free libraries in my neighborhood. I have found books I didn’t know I would love. Then I return the book back to the free library. Best decluttering decision I ever made. I regret getting rid of The Lord of the Rings though. 😢
Ответитьso to make it simple.....just throw everything out?
ОтветитьI take most old smaller electronics to Best Buy to recycle, but i call 1st to see what they'll take.
ОтветитьI'm 57 a d I have been cleaning out for some time I'm visual
ОтветитьLove it, thank you for the push. 😅😅😅
ОтветитьYou will own nothing and be happy ideology
ОтветитьI absolutely ❤ your blonde hair color!
ОтветитьBig tall pot - absolutely need for marinating turkeys before roasting. Avocado slicer - do your want your salad/entree o look ugly? USE THE SLICER!. Slightly stained/damaged bath towels - KEEP for that thoughtless relative who thinks that coloring their hair at your house is acceptable behavior. After all, that's who stained the towel in the first place. And yes, MORE THAN ONCE, extra towels have saved the home from destruction in water disasters. Travel toiletries - guests use these. Extra luggage - guests typically need extra to wag their purchases home, so we keep some extras for them, donate others. Buttons - have you checked the prices on those lately? If you sew, you should probably hang on to them for new garments. Appliance manuals - it can be hugely inconvenient and difficult to find the manual on tools and appliances that have longevity so KEEP 'em. I am just now going through a big problem because of not having a manual anymore.
ОтветитьI do use the jars and use it when I propagate plants and root them out in jars with water.
ОтветитьSorry, but I use my wooden spoons and spatulas on my frying pan EVERY SINGLE DAY. I cook from scratch. Don't order food. I do not have one thing, I do not use
ОтветитьI don't necessarily agree with the cookbooks/it depends. Although we haven't used a paper cookbook in a long time, we do not want to get rid of most of them because they all have sentimental value and possibly collector value: gifts from loved ones and vintage ones that have been used by 2 generations. So sometimes there is a good reason to keep a cookbook that doesn't get used.
ОтветитьThose scary dolls! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьGreat list. But I dont have a single item to decluter. I get rid of things i dont use almost immediately, or it just takes up space in my brain and makes me stressed.
ОтветитьWith your old sheets, towels, blankets , ect. The animal shelters can use these !
ОтветитьI love to purge. I do it routinely
ОтветитьWho on earth has EXTRA cutting boards? Omg
ОтветитьMost people dont have extra pots, extra glasses. I have no idea how much money you waste, but most of us can’t afford an avocado slicer. Your wasteful.
ОтветитьDonate old towels to your local animal shelter. They are always asking for them!
ОтветитьCan you believe recycling broken electronics in America COST money?
Best Buy charges for this😡
Grandma gave me a jar of buttons when I was a newlywed. Apparently we sewed and repaired clothes back then.
ОтветитьBrought some new things into the house the other day. I try to live by the one-in one-out rule. This video gave me some ideas of what to get rid of.
ОтветитьGuessing you came up with this list by looking around your house 😂
ОтветитьThe freezer 😂
Ответитьold t-shirts are great for dusting, old pantyhose are good scrubbers... old socks can also be good dusters as they fit over a hand as long as they are soft enough... old teatowel with lemon oil tied on the cobweb broom with an old bread tie or rubber band makes the spiders not take up residence in the top of the cathedral ceiling above the door of the beach house...
Ответитьwe used to keep the takeaway boxes because mum would pop a bunch of home made sausage rolls in each and freeze them... these packs were delivered to those who were ill, or whose family were ill eg cancer patients undergoing treatment where they spent a lot of time at the hospital. Those and home made pasties were quick meals and snacks for those who had no time or energy. Ditto I often pack up a slice of lasagne, or some muffins or cookies for folks. The container is not used to heat but to carry the product without damage, and to not need to return.
Ответитьwe just painted the beach house woodwork last year... the leftover paint was as old as the house... so over 30 years and it was perfect... my brother is a painter and had sealed it properly but still throwing it out just because it is old??
ОтветитьGarbage truck caught fire just the other day here because someone threw in a battery instead of returning the battery to the battery recycle at the supermarket
ОтветитьEverytime I go on a cleaning out drawers anf closet spree, I find so much stuff that needs using up! (My cleaning lady was bad about leaving opened containers of cleaning supplies sitting around and then telling me i needed to buy more! ) So now i put everything out on the utility room table so i can see to use up the last of things before I buy more!
ОтветитьAs I'm retired and in my 70s, I emptied out a lot of my old hair appliances and
products. I keep my hair short and minimally styled at this age as it is healthier that way.
Don't throw away scratched or dented metal pans, they are METAL. They have tons and tons of use besides baking, PLEASE DONATE before trashing usable items.
ОтветитьBuy linen sheets and they never wear out. One time investment. I rent a local space at local mall and selling things we don't use or need. Motivation for me! I take one to two boxes per week and restock my shelves..
ОтветитьOn the owner manuals … if I “think” I “need” to keep one I tear out the non English pages and throw those out … at least that lightens the weight of the manuals bin
ОтветитьI download user manuals onto my iPad as soon as we get an appliance. I will keep those I use often (cleaning the espresso or ice machine). The rest I recycle each year, if I haven’t used them. As long as I have the downloaded version, I don’t worry about not having a hard copy.
ОтветитьI'm getting anxious.from. listening to this lost of things and things and things
ОтветитьI'm impressed you could come up with 100!
ОтветитьStuffed animals! It took me until age forty five to get rid of childhood stuffed animals that I had been hanging onto, and taken from place to place. I was even keeping stuffed inchworms given to me as a carnival boobie prize. I never even liked most of these stuffed animals. One day a finally disowned years of emotional programing from Walt Disney Co. and damped them.😅
ОтветитьI had to chuckle when you mentioned mugs; hahaha. Guilty. But we actually use them. We rotate so that one gets used, a different one, each day. Hahahaha. We have mug issues. Hahahaha. But, regarding the rest of our items, if I don't use them at least once a month, except for seasonal items (i.e. Christmas, etc.), out it goes. We do like to reuse items. For example, we do keep jars, decorate them and use them as bookends. Oh, we have lots of books but we do purge our things at least twice a year. We donate to the library, Salvation Army or Goodwill. We do use our things, generally speaking, because we have them. We have, what many would consider, lots of stuff but we actually use our stuff. If it doesn't get used, like I said, it becomes a blessing for someone else. I really don't like throwing anything away that can be repurposed. Thanks.
ОтветитьTackling the kitchen ugh. Gonna start:)
ОтветитьGreat advice.
ОтветитьNext episode: How to convince your wife to help declutter :( ... lol
ОтветитьAvocado slicer? I didn’t know there was such a thing. I need one of those
ОтветитьYou should never throw batteries in genstal rubbish we have a play at the recicle centre just for batteries you don’t want batteries in land fill xxx
ОтветитьI love the autumn fall colors of this pen!
ОтветитьOh.....old towels, blankets please take them to your local shelters. They will be much appreciated.
ОтветитьI feel attacked 😭😭😭.... she literally named everything in my house 😅
