If you want to visit Sicily, especially Catania, we recommend to hold a nife or a gan in your hand in order to defend yourself from aggressive natives. You may lose your health or life as one tourist from Poland, who is now in critical condition in hospital after being attacked in Piazza Stesicoro. If you want to live, stay away from Sicily.

My father’s side of the family came from Ficarrazzi, Sicily and my mother’s family from Rome. Unfortunately though, they emigrated to the United States, became naturalized, and I was born a US citizen. I have always been more proud of my Italian and Sicilian heritage, more so than I ever was being a US citizen. I have been to mainland Italy numerous times, but haven’t made it to Sicily yet. I’m hoping next year. Good thing is that I live in Europe now and can make it there in a couple short hours by airplane.

I have been to Sicily twice. I haven't eaten such delicious food any where like I did in Sicily. The best pizza I have ever eaten was in Marsala. Marsala wine is excellent, but watch for its bite.

We were told that the young educated people are leaving Sicily and much of Italy. They feel that Sicily will be populated by foreigners and not by Sicilians.

We were in Sicily last fall and were wowed by its beauty and history.

So When Do I Start Getting Ready. to go out.

Thanks for the movie Rick! We've just come back from Sicily and we are full of impressions and joy! It's a land one must see in a lifetime. You included all the best places in the movie but you should have included Siracusa since it's historically the most significant place in Sicily and the Ancient world!! Archimedes is from there and people should know about that! Thanks for the video though, it's amazing!!

I like the Sicilian yellow it recalls me of Sweden. Limoncello e Torta al Limone.
