out of curiosity, what platform did you review this on? it might be beneficial to people to know where the footage is coming from so they can accurately gauge performance expectations

For some reason i really don't like graphics in this game and not in a budget sense. I can't put my finger on it, but, for example, i have no problem with Snake Pass, that seem to be roughly in the same style.

Gamers often forget that games don't have to be perfect to still be extremely enjoyable for many of us. While I'm waiting for a sale, I'm definitely intrigued.

Why do these people get to play the game EXTENSIVELY before us backers? I'm so angry right now.

Do you have to find every item to finish the game? I hope not... Also, is there more than one difficulty setting to choose from for the first and most likely the sole playthrough? And last but not least, is the game actually finished or is it another one of those where promised features or modes will only be added with upcoming updates? Yeah, you kinda get used to that with kickstarter projects...

Idk...I used to love these games but DK64 killed it for me after getting 100%... or was it 102%?

I dunno. I feel that a lot of people that wanted this game could have just picked up a Skylanders title. At least this game leaves out all the figure clutter.

Yet another review conducted by a person who doesn't appreciate the genre of the game they are reviewing. I don't expect to hear a glaring love fest. But, I can't stand reviews done by people who don't appreciate the mechanics of a game.

I love these kind of old 3D platformers where you explore big worlds and collect stuff and its way more fun than platformers where your just supposed to get from point A to point B in my opinion so i dont understand why many people seems to find it boring nowadays and dont want these games anymore.

Finally, the political 3D platformer we've been waiting for.

I understand it's supposed to be like the games of old but it annoys me when someone says things like "The bad camera is supposed to be like that because that's how the games used to be" It just feel like people are making excuses to justify their crowd funding. 
Shovel Knight brought back the old feel without the issues or constraints that plagued its genre back then.Yooka-Layee shouldn't get a pass solely on nostalgia.If the game mechanics were perfect, nobody would say "Oh no the mechanics and camera aren't fucked up like I remember as a kid"lol

The camera is bad the controls are bad and it's tedious as hell.

What version should I get the PS4 or PC version

You forgot that it's also on the Nintendo Switch.

hmm it wasn't that good. Solid in ways but not espesially incredible. Mind you even Banjo wasn't the definition of perfection despite how I enjoyed it back in it's day. This is an ok game

I hated the arcade mini games. I liked the game overall though.
