A friend introduced this game to me and my boyfriend. It was so overwhelming and almost everything was hidden behind a paywall. Bought one expansion pack and it still feels overwhelming

Boy am I glad me from 3 years ago left me a sunshot to get through progression faster, me and my friends still don't know what we're doing but the exotics soften the blow

Is it just me or is Destiny's story now a mess? Im trying to find out who everyone is and how it all relates but there is so much to get your head around its almost impossible. It feels like the writers are just throwing everything at the wall here. I am trying though...

I’ve played it on off for a few years and I still get frustrated and confused. Partly because I don’t enjoy RPG’s with too much “stuff” to tweak and I just want to get in there and kill stuff and get reasonably simple upgrades.

"Destiny isn't a race" Oh yes it is sir, I played Destiny in the Beta, the BETA and had the Founder stuff. I quit gaming so didn't really pick up a PS4, when I got a PS4 I didn't play Destiny and got rid of the PS4. The life cycle of PS4 was 7 YEARS. So how long was I away from Destiny? I had a Max Titan and Hunter and a not yet max Warlocke. I had all the meta weapons in Multiplayer in Destiny 1 in the PS3-PS4 era. I need to get back to that from Scratch. I don't even know if I'm good at the game anymore. I came back to COD in MW2 2022 and I'm just ok. I sometimes get amazing games, sometimes, 32/2 or 25/8 or something but that's rare. In PS3-PS4 days I was running lobbies solo in TDM in every FPS I played. Idk what happened to me but I think my gaming break, broke my gaming skills. I got 300 hrs in MW2 2022. And I'm still no where as good as I want in PS3-PS4.

In COD MW3 for PS3 I was top 9,000 in the world in TDM score on PS. It could be that I just got older and a 6 year or more break just slapped by skills away. Destiny 2 is a slower pace game, maybe I can get back to being great on there. In Destiny I favor the Titan. I don't have that old account that's why I need to start with scratch.

When i start a new character why is their light level at 1600 why cant i start completely fresh

it is amazing how a 30 minute well explained video made me want to play the game even less

the fact that I needed to look up a video on learning how to play this fucking videogame is disgraceful to game design in general.

I made a new character and went from 1600 to 1755 just by doing the tutorial parts in the Cossmadom area, before even visiting the Tower. I'd not even started any of the campaigns. It so much faster to get into the higher power tiers now. I do like that they even push you to go getter the exotic smg Riskrunner Quite early on too cos that thing is a beast.

one question about the mods and crafting etc. when I unlock something for a weapon, is it only useable for that weapon or for all the weapons I have and will get? I'm currently not really using my mats because I'm afraid of upgrading a weapon etc too early and waste lots of ressources on it

I’ve watched at LEAST 6 other “in depth” guides but none came nearly as close to this one at providing very detailed explanations in a straightforward format. Pleaseeee make an updated one for Lightfall. 🙏🏾
