where is the drain for this aircon
ОтветитьJust installed mine. Narrow window (24") Some issues: 1) Where's the drain? Condensation should go into a tube that goes where you want it, not drip on the ground. Makes a slimy mess after a while. 2) Many others have noted the difficulty in the sliding side pieces for a narrow window. Need 2 short arms. 3) I centered the "center line mark" in the window and was an entire 1" off. 4) Cannot do the foam tilt and anti-tilt bar slide as you have shown it. With the anti-tilt in place, it blocks the rotating foam bracket from rotating. 5) The horizontal support bracket that the unit rests on is way too long and sticks out the window. Sticks out probably 6" from the back of the AC. Very easy to hit it when cutting the grass outside the window. 6) The angled outside support arms that hold up the horizontal base are too short. My large lintel will not allow the support arms to actually rest against the wall outside to support the bracket without interference with the lintel. I needed a half inch spacer between wall and bracket foot, which messes up the rubber foot. I 3d printed a spacer that allowed the rubber foot to be used. Net after all is said and done: Install was more involved than it needed to be, but its done and in properly. Cooling nicely. The lack of a drain, OTOH, may be a serious future issue.
ОтветитьAnyone ever try this in a garage door instead of a window
ОтветитьWhat purpose do the gloves provide in this situation?
I was on the impression that one wears gloves to protect against chemicals and other contamination.
What about a turning window used in Europe instead of a sliding window?
ОтветитьToo complex. I wonder if it's installable on a second story window? I tried the Soleus and it was impossible so sent it back. Are there any vendors I can buy this from that can also install it for me for extra cost? I would gladly pay for it, thank you.
ОтветитьDon't buy one this is so stupid im returning mine now
ОтветитьMy windows are lipped and 49 inches wide. I’m having a hell of a time here. Any thoughts?
ОтветитьI don’t see any drops of water falling… no condensation at this unit????
ОтветитьThis is the most complicated thing I’ve ever done. It’s way to difficult for an average person.
ОтветитьThe anti tip bracket is impossible
ОтветитьThanks for the video ! You made it much easier for the install.
ОтветитьWhere can I buy more of the foam blocks that were included in install kit?
ОтветитьDoes it have an option for fresh air or the air is recirculated?
ОтветитьGreat video! Installation took almost 3 hours but it was the first time. I really like this A/C. It is so much quieter than my old one.
ОтветитьThe 1.2" Type B screws do not go in. There is a lot of resistance after just one complete turn. Seems like the holes are misaligned?
ОтветитьControl remote sucks, don’t like it
Ответитьis there longer brackets for windows larger than 36 inch wide?
ОтветитьThis thing was not meant for old windows but I made it work
ОтветитьGreat video & very helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьAfter seeing this complicated process I am returning it. 😢
ОтветитьPut in two but still not complete. Their screw are too large so would screw in like the way they showed on the video which went in with ease. Their supposedly slide out bracket at the very end are both stuck inside the bracket and would not slide out on both unit so they’ve been installed without completing the last step, which he said must be done. Very frustrating……
I suggest they color code the screws for one thing, an make improve on their quality control to make sure screws are the appropriate size to fit in the brackets. This is what’s making the install almost impossible because the “keys don’t fit the holes”.
What's the lowest temperature this AC unit can be set to?
ОтветитьDo these work if you have storm windows?
ОтветитьWhat an absolutely terrible instructional video. Half of the time the guy’s arm is covering the detail that you’re supposed to be seeing, and the other half of the time it cuts away a millisecond after explaining what to do so that you can’t see the finished step. And it doesn’t zoom in on any of the pertinent details at all, either.
ОтветитьIt didn't come with any screws.
ОтветитьHow am I supposed to take the 12000 BTU window air conditioner out of the window without getting water all over my living room carpet?
ОтветитьI live in a place where I can’t be drilling into stuff
ОтветитьCan I just pay them to come here and do it? Lol
ОтветитьI replaced a GE window unit that had the same btu as the new Midea. The Media is cooling is way better than the old GE.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьIt took me 3 hours to install this but only because I had to take out a large swamp cooler by myself and clean the area lol
ОтветитьWe have a window that slides sideways not up and down will this ac work?
ОтветитьIs there someone in the NYC area that could just come do mine? I have a 12,000 btu. Too busy to do it myself. Thanks
ОтветитьWhat do I do if the bracket doesnt sit flush to the sides of the window because my window is an odd sized length?
ОтветитьWhere exactly do you install the bracket on the bottom frame for first sill?? In the middle or on the edge closest to outside? I really don’t want to install it all then have to do it again in slightly different place.
ОтветитьExcellent! Thank you! Makes the install so much easier.
ОтветитьHysterical, easiest return in my entire life 😂
ОтветитьYeeeeaaaa ima have to pay someone to do this. My brain can’t function.
Ответитьwhy are they wearing masks?
ОтветитьJust bought one. Can't wait to install!
ОтветитьCan't believe you're sending out units that have EC07 out of the box.
ОтветитьI just finished installing mine. This video is better than the written instructions. I live in home that has double pane windows and trying to make sure I secured this properly was a must. I may make additional support though (extra piece of mind).
ОтветитьCan this be used sitting on a flat table instead of installing it in a window?
Ответитьinstall took forever (apx 3 hours) due to unclear instructions in video and pamphlet, a separate video for the different window types as well as more in depth explanations would’ve helped greatly,
ОтветитьAgree with the comment below about the challenge with 24in window openings. Not enough holes for the left bracket to be centered. I actually had to drill into one of the smaller holes on the bracket itself and slide that metal clip into the new hole. Shortens the left bracket. In addition for some reason my ac unit was off center. The two tracks on the bottom of the unit are 8 inches apart but had to make thr right bracket 9 inches to the end and the left 7 inches for the ac unit to sit snug on the channels. Was more difficult than expected. Lots of tiny cracks that need to be sealed still. This probably works better with a bigger window.
ОтветитьAnd I'm sure it's all perfectly water tight. A wind-driven rain will have water seeping into every nook and cranny of this installation. It's amazing how no one mentions how when it comes time to replace this air conditioner, you'll most likely have to replace the window as well.
ОтветитьI have the 12000 btu unit. I see where the instructions say a 22 inch window is minimum. Inside measures 22" but the opening is 20". The unit is only 19" wide. Is there a reason it shouldn't be mounted into a 20 inch opening?
