Great video. I started playing on PC since it was added to games pass after having it wishlisted for ages and I'm having a lot of fun. Once it clicks for you, it's satisfying in a way other shooters aren't.

Can anyone tell me is this like battlefield in the way it plays? Also is it only online play?

Thank you very much for the tips! First game after this video and I had 67 kills with 21 deaths, 3 garrisons and 8 outposts destroyed!

I play on Xbox,
Usually war thunder or enlisted.
But wana try / buy HLL to give it a go.

But for personal reasons I don’t use Mic’s.
It’ll be a lot more of a negative than positive, having my Mic, open as I’m playing because there’s just noise and chaos around me cause my kids lol.

So, can I still play without one. But be able to have the team chat or audio come thru my speakers and listen to everyone, and also. If that’s the case are there any quick keybinds or txt chats , like a quick response I could just use to communicate .

Example,

Someone says over the mic “whatever” and I need to respond, is there a quick way to just send a yes or answer to let people know I’m aware and working collectively. ?

That’s what I like about enlisted,
It has a quick message wheel you can pull up and very quickly ask or tell questions or orders. Like coordinates or need ammo or build rally point whatever.
Without it effecting your gameplay, because it’s so simple and easy to use.


If so, I feel like that would be dope and would prob push me to buying it sooner than expected.

But if not, idk.
May just wait and play without one and see how that works.

Not much for a team connected style of gameplay, that’s why I like enlisted cause it balances both very good, the solo gamer but includes that easy portal to reach out and connect to others on your team without the hassles of spam or ignorant people pissing you off.

Medic must be different now. They pick me back up fairly quickly most of the time.

I wish there was a way to add sights the iron sights are so hard to see out of not to mention the recoil on the guns are insane

Hey, I'm a teen who's dad is pretty strict about voice chat, so my Xbox doesn't allow me to hear or communicate with anyone due to settings. I just got the game and I've been looking into milsims for a while and I was wondering if the lack of being able to hear anyone is going to negatively effect my gameplay. Thanks!

Having wanted to play this game for a long time and getting myself a PS5 recently I've found the console game to be very different to the videos I've been watching on pc version. very little communication, mindlesly rushing at the enemy, lack of defending, so much team killing and griefing because they constantly get killed and pissed off, every so often but rarely I seem to get in a good game with good team mates, leaders and commanders and it's awesome. It's been difficult to learn the game through playing because of this but these vids do help with a lot of stuff.

Redeploy adds 10 seconds on top of the 10 seconds it takes to respawn. 20 seconds + OP or GARR time.

I’m only level 30, so still very new! But watching this should be a requirement.

This was really useful. I played officer for the first time yesterday and pulled the pocket watch out and thought wtf is this for ? Telling the time whilst I’m being mauled by the enemy ? Now I know it’s one of the most useful pieces of equipment in the game 😂

Im so thankful for this video. When I first started I read the whole combat manual and well, the they emphasized with the officer role was like "too much responsibility, DONT MESS UP" and might scare new players. And I mean theres some responsibility but the way the game describes it might take the attention away

Im not gonna lie, thats a lot to take in, and the gamplay is mostly objectiver based but not in a traditional way, its definitly new and something id have to get use to, i heard being a medic is a good starting class, would anyone agree to that? im considering to buy it since its on sale, but what class is most favorable to start as?

This guide is good for explaining the concepts of the game, but a couple of things, an automatic rifleman is meant for suppressive fire when a machinegun team is not available. As realistic as they made the game, people that play it thinking its like cod or battlefield dont seem to appreciate the mechanics of a military squad. Other than that very good explanation of alot of things such as spawn points which is a problem i see alot, and capturing objectives.

As someone who's newer to this game, but still well versed in FPS..

Go Machine gun class. The heavy effect that suppression offers in this game is insane, and all you need to do is put down a bipod and shoot in that direction.. its not about kills (sometimes) but it gives your squad mates a chance at pushing a position with less issue.

What about artillery, how does it work?

I usually play Insurgency Sandstorm Hardcore mode, and that mode feels so realistic and the pace is so slow, is this game provides the same experience? And is it true that having no mic should not play HLL? I played Insurgency with no mic but it's still pretty much do-able. What about this game? Also, is the reload system the same as Insurgency?

I couldn’t even figure out how to spawn into a game or pick a class.

My biggest tip, although I’m fairly new to HLL, is to be patient. When i first started I hated the game, because I would run for 10 minutes then be shot and have to do it all over again. But to the new player, just keep playing. Use your mic and you will learn how to play the game with the help of others. Once you start actually using tactics with a full squad, taking down tanks with AT, and just overall gameplanning with a full squad is what the game is about.

This game needs an extraction mode!

I find dis game crap , it 4 game I see 4 enemy and kill 1 rest of the get just got kill from dont know whare the map it so shit can't even see whare I am going . I can see enemy's with the binocular but can't get close enough to see the whit rifle , they can see me .
