The locals are some of the reason people have came up missing in Darien gap
ОтветитьIt so hard to to that so you will have 0000000000000.1% to cross alive
ОтветитьI want to travel in motorcycle from Guatemala to the Patagonia... hoy much it cost to send your van in a cargo ship?
ОтветитьBased on what I've read over the years, the real reason there is no road is that neither Panama nor the United States want one. Panama was once a part of Colombia and with the help of the United States became independent in 1903. And this was possible because Colombia could not send its army through the Darien Gap. They could only defeat the independence movement by sending their navy. And the United States Navy prevented this.
Why? For the security of the Panama Canal. Protecting the security of the Panama Canal is the real reason there is no road system through the Darien Gap. Side benefits are that the gap prevents even more mass migration and the transportation of drugs and weapons from South America.
It is in the interest of US national security that Panama remain stable and independent. And that ensures the Panama Canal remains open and under US control. The best way to assure that is to keep Panama physically cut off from South America with the Darien Gap. They could easily build a road system through the gap. But Panama and the United States block any such effort for political and military reasons.
How much is the average to ship it one way
Ответитьheyy question i’m just came across your video how long and how bad was the process of shipping your van from panama to Columbia documentation and time ?? thank you i’m thinking i want to do that but not much info on it

Ответить60Miles…No 100 miles if not 200
ОтветитьIf they let America get they hands on it, oh we WOULD definitely be able to get a road up in that bihh! 😂😂 We some savages!
ОтветитьThanks for this. I had been doing some research about this area but this video perfectly summed up everything for me.
ОтветитьMaybe if the came here legally I wouldn't have a damn problem
ОтветитьNational Park. And world protected park by the Unesco. To cut it short.
ОтветитьHow much is it to ship a sprinter? I got the same one.
ОтветитьI have to see this ordeal. I wanna do south Florida to Panama.
Ответитьu are amazing
ОтветитьJust tight a zipline between Yaviza and Medellín and that's it lol
ОтветитьAbsolutely stunned you willingly traveled through the Darien gap. Were you frightened? On edge? 😮 The amount of v1olence that takes place towards undocumented individuals trying to get to the US is horrifying. I would never step foot there.
ОтветитьThis is how u should explain something, thanks mam.
ОтветитьThank you Snow for the great video. I wonder what it cost to ship a vehicle from Panama to Colombia. Does anyone know?
Ответитьwhat about a bridge?
ОтветитьAlso not getting political here...just saying, if enough migrants pass through the gap, they’ll end up creating the beginnings of a road on accident. People are going to walk the easiest path possible and over time, this path will become more marked. It’s just a matter of traffic beating the jungle over ownership. Unless the path stays used though, it won’t last long.
Ответитьhmm could this be a job for Elon's Boring Company? maybe a tunnel under the gap?
ОтветитьIt’s because panananians don’t want Colombians to bring drugs into the country and ruin Panama
ОтветитьSo yall didn't cross it tho
ОтветитьThe continent of america is only one there no south American continent let's put this clear!!!
ОтветитьThe most passively political statements I've ever heard.
ОтветитьRandom unrelated question but kinda related to van-living and traveling. (I came here looking into the Pan-American highway)
I have a bunch of medications...and a catalogue of diseases lmao (glaucoma and hypothyroid to name a few) these things kind of require testing every few months. Is it hard to travel internationally needing these tests and checkups... and get your rx's taken care of?
Those early expeditions in a jeep must have been insane, can’t imagine on foot
ОтветитьDarien gap = Taking away people's freedoms.
ОтветитьHow do you renew your plates?
ОтветитьThey should built a tunnel. It would preserve nature and would connect north and south America safely.
ОтветитьHi Snow, great video. Happy to have found your channel. One question: could you share more information about your flight from Panama to Colombia? Thanks!
ОтветитьI lived in the Darien Gap from 2010-2012 as a Peace Corps Volunteer! Good times!
ОтветитьWhy do they sound disappointed The most High didn't want all of this world colonized so I'm grateful that it's untouched parts of the world maybe the true Native Americans would still have the Americas if it was UNTOUCHED SMFH
ОтветитьFascinating. Thank you for the really well done overview of this amazing jungle. I am an adventure motorcycle enthusiast and I would like to drive from the US to South America, and have looked at options- looks like flying my bike from Panama to Colombia is the best. But I have a question. Panama has to coastlines- why wouldn’t it be possible to take an off-road equipped motorcycle straight down the beach- where the ocean comes ashore. Or do mountains come up right to the sea making this impossible? I’m always wondered
Ответитьhuge human trafficing there
Ответитьits to prevent migrants
ОтветитьYou guys are living one of my dreams and I wish you the best.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this fascinating video. Do you know what the price is to ship the van from Panama to Columbia and the shipping time?
ОтветитьThanks for your advise , amazing
ОтветитьThe Darien gap is one of the most dangerous migrant routes on earth. It is one of the most brutal journeys that exist for migrants. People from all over the world cross by foot and meet their death from starvation, injury, thugs and disease. Very few people can report on the issue because it's so dangerous and inaccessible. There has been a REALLY good report done a year ago by PBS. Worth watching to understand what people are willing and able to do to make a new life for themselves and family. It's painful to watch but the truest reporting about the Darien gap.
ОтветитьGood night, can you recommend a ferry or a roro boat crossing from Cartagena to Panama? (I will drive a toyota hi lux from Ushuaia to Alaska) Thank you
ОтветитьAmerica is a single continent, 35 countries make up the American continent and it has three subdivisions: North America, Central America and South America.
ОтветитьSmartest choice. We are planning this for our World tour. Thanks for sharing. We enjoy your trip. Hope you might like ours too. We just got started building our channel before hitting the road full-time in a couple years. As a father son team of adventurous anthropologists, we are excited to teach as we go through over 100 countries. If you like history, culture and nature. We would love your input on our channel as we grow.
ОтветитьWow this was so interesting!!! Thank you for sharing this information
